The mail rather Southgate selects some young yarddogs than our Theo. It’s like 29 years old is the new age of grandpa.

Beckham remained available because he wanted to beat shiltons cap record.
Just like he has been chasing a knighthood ever since he retired.

All this paper talk of who will be in the squad makes me laugh. Southgate wont make a lot of changes, maybe Young Cahill and Vardy due to thier ages might be left out. He will want to keep and build on the team ethic they had in Russia, dont think he allows the press to pick the squad as in previous years.
