2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

I am fully behind the manager and don't ever see that changing. We will never get a better manager and hes only been given like 60m so far. Less than the teams above us spend on individual players. We need to now double down and back him fully.

I am definitely not behind this squad and they make me not want to watch us play. If they don't want to match opponents for effort then maybe I need to invest far less emotional energy on them every week.

My main concern is Ancelotti deciding he has had enough of these players and leaving to enjoy the remainder of his career elsewhere. He is not going to hang around here for much longer while we get efforts like tonight. Tje players should be embarrassed.
Personally, I think one problem that nobody foresaw is that Carlo doesn't drill players strictly. What I mean is he doesn't walk into a squad and make demands in terms of intense pressing or whatever. He's used to talented, intelligent players and gives them independence. You can see it works well with James but the rest of our craphouses are clueless.

Fine, lets just wait till next game and judge it when new info comes out then, sorry if it came across whiney, just my opinion and ill respect yours

No problems with opinions, the bottom line is we all want the best for the club. Just calling for him to be sacked is pointless.

So we sack him tonight, while we could still get in to Europe, pay him a massive wedge, get Dunc in for the remaining games.

Hire someone new, who may or may not work out, spend another massive wedge on new players and give them a new season where they’ve got no pre-season cause of the euros and straight into the Europa Confrence where we get spanked by a team of part-timers all just so we can come back on here a shout

‘HE‘S NOT GOOD ENOUGH’

Great plan.

Don't forget to start referring to him as 'this fella' because you know any attempts to discredit his name is futile.

Your right there, the midfield is the big issue, when we have Doucoure and Allan and James we look decent but there always is one of Iwobi,Sigs,Gomes playing that’s always the weak link.
Then why not play in a way that doesn't need a midfield?
Im sure we could overlook 8 games of hoofball. Its actually not far from whay we're doing now, but we could put players near to DCL to get on the end of knockdowns.

Cos Silva and Koeman got 8th and that was their max before going into freefall as they did, then they got the boot especially after the money spent. Koeman had Lukaku and Barkley to finish 8th before blowing £300mill on Klassen and Sandro.

And you saying he hasnt improved the players? He's got our best win ratio in the premier league, won away at grounds we haven't won at in decades, and turned Calvert Lewin into a 20 a season striker.

It's called a rebuild. Another 6 players will be leaving in the summer to go with the 10 that left this summer/Jan (including loans).

Fat Sam gonna bring in the likes of James?
Wow killer answer mate you got me. Paying someone £150k and still coming 8th is massive progress, what the hell was I thinking.

Ulike yourself then? Can't see you bring anything to the debate either, except criticizing people with a different view than yourself.

How can you debate when people say ‘just sack him’, where’s the plan? I’ve just replied in another post as the likely outcome if we did, look it up if your bothered.

How has sacking managers regularly worked out for us recently?

CA stats,

PPG is the lowest at any time in his entire career.
62 games played (29 wins, 13 draws and 20 defeats)
Win percentage of 47%, dropping by the game

I`ve always looked at managers and thought that the sign of a good manager is getting more out of a set of players than is expected, is CA doing that? In my opinion our league position is where you could have predicted this set of players to finish.

I dont see any style coming through, there is no consistency, the home form is a massive massive concern. Only Sheff Utd and Fulham have worse home records and really that is criminal for Everton.

You have to ask yourself why clubs like Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea are all successful. Because they put the pressure on the manager to achieve, if not they will get someone that can do the job and that has proven to be successful. Everton on the other hand have no pressure on the manager and they are allowed to drift from season to season until it get so bad the fans tell the club it needs to be changed.

At Everton CA has a job for life, clearly no big clubs want him that is how he ended up at Everton. He is coming to or beyond his best days but because of his past and his name Everton will never put any pressure on him to succeed and I think he will end up drifting as so many have done before.

IF the club is ambitious, they say they are, heads need to roll for failure BUT we have seen it for far too long that at Everton failure IS accepted with a must do better next time mentality, that is a massive problem and will undermine what they are trying to achieve and keep us where we should be 8th-12th in the Premier League. Big Club with a small time mentality!
