The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

In fairness he went from head of emerging talent here to Chief Football Officer there, would I think be a pretty reasonable career step.

How many of you have Davek on ignore?

I have both davek and damo on ignore, so I suspect my version of the Friedkin thread is about a quarter of what it could be.

The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

It’s a bit more then that, see their modular chassis details, particularly the PL/PQ stuff, though this doesn’t really extend to the outliers in Bugatti etc. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Volkswagen_Group_platforms. Essentially all of the mass production vehicles are much the same...

    Confirmed Signing Iliman Ndiaye

Probably less, there is only a week left and amortisation would presumably be prorated.

    Confirmed Signing Iliman Ndiaye

It’s phrased badly there. The Value of the player is amortised over the length of the contract, that will almost never have any connection to the way it’s paid. Your second post though is correct.

Right, that’s all the accountant’s stuck their oars in.

Cash flow and amortisation are very different things. Cash flow is essentially irrelevant to profit and loss.

his injury history is a bit odd, seems to pick up injuries in Aug / Sept though mostly minor. Does seem to be a player that needs to get up to full fitness very gradually.

? You can times it by 100 and this will still be how it works! I haven’t made any comment as to whether we can afford to take 1 5 or 100 players on.

Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

To quibble on this, cash flow != profit and loss. You buy a player for €50 mil, you have an asset worth €50m and a liability either in reduced or negative cash or in a creditors line of €50m. When that moves between the creditors and cash is utterly irrelevant to profit and loss. You then...
