I think with Thelwell gone we will see more and more of these subordinate positions going to mate. Quietly we are seeing changes operationally, which gives us a sneeze of the pace of change behind the scenes - it was Vaughan last week and this guy this week.

I think he would to be honest, he has his head screwed on Jake and he will have his eye on the Branthwaite spot long term. Also think he’d play games - I just don’t think he’s guaranteed to be on the team sheet, like the other 4 I mentioned.

Wouldn't say he’s guaranteed to start myself, be surprised if we don’t buy a specialist right full.

...It’s interesting to think who is likely guaranteed to start the first game in BMD for me it’s only: Pickford Branthwaite (if still here). Tarkowski N’Diaye *maybe Idrissa but no guarantees at 35/36 Everyone else I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not in the team, loaned out or moved on.

I don’t think any manager was saving you this season mate! At least with Martin you had someone you know you could do it if you went straight back down and needed to go again. There just wasn’t a purpose to Juric may as well just stuck!

In all serious though, they have to go now and find a manager to get them promoted - which Martin did. Hes also a philosophy pick - if you appoint him you have to commit to that philosophy in the long term.

As opposed to watching Championship players not doing that.

They should have stuck with Russel Martin really.

PSR is also hampering the product - what happens when you cant spend to attract the best players. Its supposed to be entertainment after all. No one wants to tune in to get excited that we've balanced our books or get live updates on the PSR deadline.

Almost every club be all over that mate, lad will have his pick, 12 PL goals this season as the crow flies in a relegation team, great deal for someone. ;)
