May as well get Dalglish in as director of football while we're at it.

    Goats squad analysis thread 2018/19

There's not one player in our squad who would get regular games for any of the top 6 teams and the only player with any real potential to is Richarlison.

Think the rule has changed, red cards in PL mean 3 games in PL

Struggling to believe how bad Bolasie is.

Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

It says: "Having considered all of the available evidence, we consider it is not sufficient to raise a charge against Firmino." Then further down it says: "The evidence for the allegation came from Holgate." My interpretation is that means that's the "only" evidence.

Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

The only two cases of racist abuse I can remember before this season involved Liverpool and Chelsea - two of the biggest clubs in England. I am very interested to see what the evidence is in the Rodriguez/Bong case - there must be something because they're surely not going to be charging him...

Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

Are there people seriously trying to suggest that club should have done anything other than it did? What - so ignore the fact there's no evidence, the fact that even no Everton player said they heard it and stake our reputation on going to war over what Holgate thinks he heard? If so, you're crazy.

    Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

Has anyone ever seen this fella have a good game? Genuine question. I honestly don't remember him being anything other than poor when I've watched him play

    Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

Absolutely terrible player. Anyone who'd seen him play for City would know this. Trust us to loan this gimp and play him ahead of our most promising young CB - and why? Unreal.

Are we in a relegation battle right now?

Nah, we'll be sweet... Those few games after Allardyce came in have saved us. Not saying he's saved us btw. I'm actually still amazed we're so high up the league as we've felt like one of the absolute worst sides in the division for long spells of the season

    2017/18 Morgan Schneiderlin

Yes this guy has become incredibly unlikeable. He seems to give off a vibe like he thinks he's too good for all this faffing around the relegation zone with Everton while simultaneously being one of the worst players on the pitch consistently. I'd be delighted if I never saw him play for us again

Who is worse than us? Who will finish below us?

Not wanting to tempt fate but West Ham did us a massive favour appointing Moyes. A decent manager there and they're a cert to stay up IMO but with him they're live contenders. Also, Palace, Swansea, Huddersfield, Brighton and West Brom all are live candidates. At the minute though, IMO, we're...

Yeah... But also you only get a ban if the dive led to a penalty or something, I think, not just any dive

We are in real big trouble....

We're fortunate to even have the amount of points we do, that's how bad it is.

I don't like Allardyce either but he's got far more pedigree than Dyche, who's managed Burnley for 5 years after 1 year with Watford. Feels to me like we've basically gone for Dyche because Burnley have had a strong start to the season. I also don't think Dyche is the sort to deal with adversity...

    Next Everton Manager

This is a really dire situation. The actual appealing names aren't going to be interested. Unsworth would end in tears. Dyche is a big no for me, my gut feeling is the job would be too big for him. Coleman, meh. Moyes, that would be the stupidest thing that we've ever done. It's honestly looking...

    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

Yes, this has become a strange situation in which Rooney is simultaneously one of our better players, which isn't hard to be fair, yet you suspect the team would be better off without him playing.

    Who's To Blame

The attempt at building an attack to replace Lukaku/Barkley this summer was a complete shambles on an unfathomable scale. I just can't understand who sat down and thought, "You know what we should do - sign a has been on 150k a week, spend £45 million on a similar player who plays the same...
