I think that going on Keane’s comments he expects to return next season.
I hope that Simms can step up this season , he should certainly be ready by next season.
Dobbin is also emerging and is highly regarded.
Keeping a pathway to the first team for these promising players is surely preferable...
King would be a ‘warm body’ granted, but no upgrade.
We would surely prefer a forward who is as comfortable on the right as the centre.
King is predominantly left sided when not central.
I very much doubt we are interested in him in any case, no reliable links and he looks to be W.Brom bound ...
If we can’t find a better player, (preferably one who has actually spent some appreciable time on the right), other than King, I would be shocked and slightly disappointed.
It does appear that at this point we are content to strengthen our CB options and call it a day for this window.
Although we may continue to recruit some outstanding youngsters for U23 side.
I am satisfied if that is the case.
Exactly , Lampard is a loathsome cockney wide-boy , he is playing us and the players along again. Don’t deal with him . In fact try not to have any dealings with any cockney’s at all , don’t trust any of them.
Would be an excellent signing ,no doubt.
He would certainly give us options up front and add strength and depth to the squad.
But I can’t see him coming here to sit behind Calvert-Lewin in the pecking order.
Better clubs will be sniffing around him surely.
You never know I suppose.
Unlikely.
Just proves that ,if they’re fortunate to be recruited by City, even crap players can win medals.
Also illustrates that even the best make mistakes in their recruitment.
