These fees are making player contracts more relevant than ever, Siggy only just signed a deal and his greedy could have collapsed his whole Career and been stuck in a relegation dogfight with Swansea for ever more.

Same goes for Vvd, only just signed a 6 year contract out of sheer greed and now looks to be getting priced out of a move.

Sigurdsson really should have moved to Everton last summer in stead of signing a new deal with the mighty Swansea.

What did Kante go for last year? 30-32m. In this window you'd be looking at 50m+. I guess we can all blame the new tv deal for this, as the prices for players in this window defies logic.

Yeah that's my biggest concern with the signing. I find it hard to believe there's not a better midfielder than Gylfi in world football for £45m.

Think we're paying what is now a £15m+ "proven in the league" premium.
