That does seem to be the buzz over there. Have no idea whether it's true or not but hey, fair play to them. They don't want to sell him. I wonder if we'll up the offer or put (more) pressure on him to force the move.

The first offer was fair (yes overpaid but in the middle of our value and theirs). The second offer was yet another concession. Frankly, he must do his part now if he wants Everton too. Just put in a transfer request for christ sake Siguardsson.

Utter gash, massively overrated is Calhonglu.

That James deal is a bizarre 2 year loan allegedly. Also we've no hope yet of attracting form Real Madrid.

We need to attract realistic players who significantly improve us. Overpaying is a necessary evil. The game is the game, better to be playing than watching.

No other club in the world would pay 45 for Siggurdsson, he's to small a player for the elite. This was there last chance to get a big fee for him and they have failed to do it out of greed, reminds me of the Michu deal when they priced him out of a move demanding 30m and he went near enough on a free a season later.

It'll be the fourth time this summer Everton have been had off by no mark clubs for millions.

We could have bought two more players with rational prices paid for Pickford (should have been £20M); Klaassen (should have been £18M); Keane (should have been £20M); and now Sigurdsson (should have been no more that £30M).

That's about £40+M that could have bought a CB and new LB...or a quality attacker to lead the team.

Madness, utter madness.

And now we have to sell Barkley to fund this one.

It's gross irresponsibility with the player sale cash we'll have as a once in a generation chance to make pay.
