Yeah. I much preferred the 5 minutes of excitement before the transfer deadline, then the soul destroying disappointment.Wish we'd just go back to getting utter poo on loan on deadline day and blue Bill telling us to "watch this space". Better days.
We don't have an endless pot of money so it important it gets used correctly. I agree that we know he will do a job but he is only a very good player not a top class one. I can't see that he is going to make a big difference. He is not the dynamic player that we need
They are the official Swansea news source, that being said I reckon this is them saving face.
Why would you want to sell Gylfi Sigurrdson.
The fee is irrelevant I make wages up 60- 80mill annually. That's the real cost of the transfer window.
Be intersting to see how the business will grow to sustain that.
They said Williams bid rejected when he was at Finch Farm.
To flip this if Swansea reject that bid then they seriously need help!
Who will be playing in the CL with Anderlecht next seasonSandro I will give you. The other is a youth team player.
Great post.In terms of overpaying on some of our signings, we also have to look at the players we're potentially gonna make money on further down the line.
Sandro (£5.25m) and Onyekuru (£6.8m). Both young. Bags of potential. Could easily make £15m+ on each of them in 3/4 years time, considering even average players cost £10-£15m now.
Pay Top dollar for players in their prime, get youngsters in cheaper with resale value.
Straightforward approach really.
