Why would you want to sell Gylfi Sigurrdson.

The fee is irrelevant I make wages up 60- 80mill annually. That's the real cost of the transfer window.

Be intersting to see how the business will grow to sustain that.

Swansea are barking mad if they reject £45m but we are just as mad for bidding it, for once I agree with @davek, £30m max is what he's worth but such is life these days. We shouldn't go any higher than that now, move on to a different target on our list, like that Veiria lad we were linked with

We don't have an endless pot of money so it important it gets used correctly. I agree that we know he will do a job but he is only a very good player not a top class one. I can't see that he is going to make a big difference. He is not the dynamic player that we need

Who then? His pl stats are right up there. Who can we realistically get? There are a few foreign names mentioned but they are untried in the PL. We Either have to over pay for a proven Pl player, or take a chance on an untried foreign player with a reputation, or buy a relative unknown for a low price?
I guess when you are looking to push upward it is harder. We want CL standard players without CL.
I don't know if Sigurdssen is in that category, but his stats suggest he is. Are any of the others?

I can't see where he would be going, not for the money we, or he, wants. If we got £20M for him that would be good business. I would think anyone interested will sit it out until January and get him for a snip.
