In terms of overpaying on some of our signings, we also have to look at the players we're potentially gonna make money on further down the line.

Sandro (£5.25m) and Onyekuru (£6.8m). Both young. Bags of potential. Could easily make £15m+ on each of them in 3/4 years time, considering even average players cost £10-£15m now.

Pay Top dollar for players in their prime, get youngsters in cheaper with resale value.

We don't have an endless pot of money so it important it gets used correctly. I agree that we know he will do a job but he is only a very good player not a top class one. I can't see that he is going to make a big difference. He is not the dynamic player that we need

Hey, I actually agree, I'm really not that arsed about him as a player but we can't change or effect anything so you either look at the positive about us offering insane money for the first time in actual decades and we are doing what is needed to get who they want in.
