Hope it's not RossWho is the plan b I wondered.
....if reports are right, not much has changed with these bids. We offered £40m and now we've apparently offered £40m with add-ons. I wouldn't know what those add-ons are. I suspect a final offer might be £45m with £5m in add-ons.
Hope it's not Ross
In the current market he is.He's not worth 50.
Excellent post, sirWhile this negotiation process has been tedious, I would rather overpay for quality than pay the inflated prices the market still demands for second and third tier talent. Get him and Giroud and you have your set-up guy and one of the best with his head around the goal. Great chance to take one of the worst teams on free kicks in the league and make them one of the best.
The two chairmen meet in a smoky back room of a pub and sit across a table. Each has two shaven-headed heavies standing behind, scowling at each other. The selling chairman sits back, arms folded and a grim expression on his face. "So? " he says. The buyer then writes a figure on a blank piece of paper, folds it and slides it across the table. Chairman S picks it up, slips it into a pocket without looking at it and says "Whatever it is, I was five mill more, punk! "Does anyone know what the process for making an official bid is? I know it's not going to work like FM, but it's always struck me a little odd how long it can take between bids.
Is there a mountain of paperwork or legal hoops to jump through to make it official? Otherwise I can't quite understand why there are often weeks between and a bid being rejected and another coming in. In my mind, it can't just be negotiation or the second official bid would surely be accepted every time.
