LCAB definitely knew things at the time or at least knew people that did - and lives (or lived) literally next to the ground - but not sure if they're at all connected anymore.

You are right. It seems Everton have 'tightened security' the last wee while and club info is rarely leaked like it used to be.

Even if that were true it still plays into the club's business model. They want these players sold to try to meet each successive manager's spending demands.

To be fair we don't know if it would be the worst value for money signing... Niasse anyone? Per kroldrup? Van de mede? I could go on.

If he was the player that managed to help us get CL I say money well spent.
