The problem with that is the strikers we are after probably won't become available till towards the end of the window. If we are in for Giroud he's likely going to want to see how the start of the season pans out with arsenal and how many minutes he gets

Then why did we sell Lukaku so early?
 

If siggy was our first signing, would he have cost more than 30-40m?..

Or is it because we signed a relegated goalie for 30m, and a bottom quarter defender for 25-30m etc that they deemed it much higher knowing Everton were seriously interested?

Fairly sure they have said 50m from the start.
