Why is it? It's perfectly logical to rate someone like Siggurdson and still think it makes no sense to spend £40 million + on him.

Because Dave has said he wants Sigurdsson, wants Everton to spend cash and that we have an owner not willing to put his hand in his pocket.

I my opinion, a neutral net spend is actually positive as long as we get the best players we actually can. Why this insane obsession with how much we spend net?

Previously, money kept disappearing, now it is spent before we sell. My guess is that we spend about 40 mill net this window. Barkley, Mcgeady, Lukaku and a few smaller fishes sold, and off the wage bill.

Our bench is insanely improved, and we have shown that we are willing to put our money on prioritised targets. Let's wait and see how this plays out, but I do believe we are moving in the right direction.

Your logic is flawed. Stating that you want your club to spend money and that you rate a player does not equal you thinking spending an excessive amount of money on the player that you rate is a good idea. Let's say our budget was £150 million and I rated Eden Hazard. Would I think spending £150 million on Hazard was a good idea? No because we are paying over the odds for him and that affects our ability to sign other players that we need to make the team/squad stronger overall. I fail to see how that passed you by.

None. Today Koeman is our manager and he gets to decide who comes and goes.... Its in his job description
