Wait till Sept Dave and then judge
If you are indeed correct I'll be the first to say you were right and I'd hope you would be man enough to come out and say you're wrong with no ifs buts or excuses if I'm proven right

There's little doubt we'll see no major net spend this window once all that are leaving leave. There's, imo, another probably (conservatively) £50M-£60M to come in from Barkley and McCarthy and Niasse. We, in fact, with McGeady's sale are now £15M in the black. So we'd have to see another £65M-£70M spent to just have zero net spend.

Time for people to just accept this is our familiar churn when all is said and done. The reason it's a lot of big prices is because this club is throwing good money at less than stellar players and we're selling a lot of the squad.

Kenwright could have sanctioned that too. Anyone could.

We have an owner who doesn't spend a red cent; just as we had before he arrived.

Davek, where do you sit at the match? Just out of interest.
eyes.webp

He switches the light off and prays for something to moan about.

But you cant even find fault with any of the players, your only complaint is that "We paid too much", its laughable really.

Im curious who you even blame for this?
Really? Pickford and Klaassen look bog standard to me and I said so from day one.

To be honest if Koeman is right and we only go for 1/2 more then it's hard to disagree with your post.

£250k.

But if we buy Sigurdsson for anything between 40 - 50m that takes our spend to 150m pounds. That's quite a sum over the 108m taken in Dave so that negates your arguement surely?? Its not just player recycling. Yes there is an element of that, just like at every football club going but there is also funds available to strengthen the squad as the manager sees fit over and above. If that means obscene amounts of money at players, then that's what it is. Enjoy spending some cash for once...
No, we will see Barkley + Niasse + McCarthy all sold.

My estimate for player sales this summer is £165M-£175M.
