No, I'm sure we'll bring more through to sell and fund another negative net spend window where we lose good players and buy mediocrity/potential...and so the dance goes on.

We require a revolution at this club not another Kenwright.

Could you try being positive for a hole day tomorrow? I guarantee your life will be better and people will treat you differently.

Whilst I currently agree that the cupboard is bare with regards cash to spend.

I dont believe we have signed a single mediocre player this window, every singing we have made so far has improved the squad VASTLY, you shouldnt allow yourself to be bogged down with how much the players cost tho.

Iceland will also improve the squad, we will lose Barkley and Lukaku this window, but the 9 players their sale will bring will improve us more going forward.

Wait till Sept Dave and then judge
If you are indeed correct I'll be the first to say you were right and I'd hope you would be man enough to come out and say you're wrong with no ifs buts or excuses if I'm proven right

Even if we did have money, £40 million is madness for a 28 year old who is good but not great.
They're taking the piss mate. I like Sigurdsson a lot. But I'd laugh in that spiv Clement's face and walk away as soon as he uttered the figure £40M.

Mind you you cant blame him: he's seen us had off by Sunderland and Ajax and Palace and thought: "let's turn these daft gets over".

I really don't want Ross to leave. It baffles me why he wants to (if that is the case).

Annoying.

He tried to buy players but left Bill and Bob in charge of negotiations and they messed up as normal.
They done the same in January till RK had a word and the Morgan deal was done.
Not his fault he took 2 muppets at their word but he soon copped on
Oh aye yeah, I forgot about that it was Kenwright's fault.

*sigh*

Barkley and Lukaku could still be here now if Moshiri had shown ambition and organised some investment to plough into this club and buy players last season. All he did was lurch from one calamity to another; Lukaku made his mind up and then Barkley has been hounded out by this manager.

We had no need whatsoever to sell these players...other than the fact it's funded a transfer window which this owner is getting undue credit for because all he's done is do what Kenwright did.

£98M spent; £108M taken in.

What a palaver over recycling players.
Sadly it is hard to attract quality players when you finish bottom half two seasons on the run.

That's how it looks to me, I'll wait and see how the situation is at the end of this window before passing full judgement.

(shakes head) There you go again.

Is that what he was thinking? I'd personally imagined his thought process to be more along the lines of: "oh crap, here come Big Bollocks Everton about to take the one player who made me look like a competent manager last season".

Love the idea that Sunderland think they've had us off after just being relegated with Moyes, Oviedo, Gibson, Lescott, Rodwell, Pienaar and Anichebe and having just signed Browning, Galloway, McGeady and Vaughan.

So you can't see a major difference in the way we are doing business this summer and last
Even leaving the net spend argument aside the speed and timing of our signings are unheard of during Kenwrights reign
He left signings till the last min to save on wages
