£75 for a 7/8 year old? Disgraceful.

the kits are a standard price, bet you don't moan about how cheap the season tickets are ( if you have one )
Hope this isn't another one of those tiresome 'wool' comments. We couldn't afford a season ticket even if we lived next to the ground.
£75 for a 7/8 year old, particularly considering it's £40 for a 6/7 year old, is ridiculous.

Also, regarding the club 'having to make money somewhere' - fine, but not off kids ay?

I mean TECHNICALLY they're making it from you... not the kids...

Was talking to a mate about this recently, the price of kits isn’t the best; but £95 for a kids ST is amazing. If you factor in that, then £170 for a ST and a kit is a bargain.

The club have to make money somewhere.
Just re-read that...fair enough comment. We couldn't afford it, because I'd obviously need a season ticket too, but that is decent value combined.

Shafting parents via their kids 'gimme' culture is standard industry practice across loads of fields. Look at the sweets by a supermarket checkout. The implication is that if you don't spend big then it clearly means you don't love your kids enough.

The solution (and I'm not saying it's easy) is to train the gimme culture out of them and train them to appreciate value.

I was about 5 when I had my last Easter egg (I traded the same value for solid ordinary chocolate - eggs being hollow) and around 6 when I last pestered for fireworks (I got a toy car instead - which lasted much longer and saved my parents a floomin fortune.

Such thinking about value turned me into an utter tight-wad though.
I just didnt have any kids. Much cheaper.

Wee fella's birthday this Friday and I have always got him the Infant kit - £35-£40 - for the lot.

Now he's 8, it's the small boys kit. £75.

I'm surely not alone with anger at this? It's for kids ffs!

The only consolation is that the money isn't paying for the likes of Ashley Williams any more, but still....<fume>

Don't feed him for a week

He'll fit the infant kit again and you'll have saved money on food

Not rocket science ffs

The club don't set the prices though.

Moan about the price of kits all you want, they deserve to be moaned about, but the cost is standard across the board. It is not a club issue.

I'm sure your child will understand if you tell him/her that that 75 pounds, when multiplied by about 650 is what the club currently pays Yannick Bolasie each week to stay away from us and ply his trade for Aston Villa. Simple economics. Teach 'um young to understand the obscene rip off merchants that most football clubs are, Everton being no exception.

Why can I hear this fella saying something along the lines of "WELL TIE A BLOODY KNOT IN IT THEN"

how am I calling you a wool? honestly couldn't care less were you are from

my point is, season tickets are very cheap @ everton so for you to call them a disgrace for charging the same as everyone else for a kit is harsh given how cheap we are season ticket wise

It is ridiculous, I would expect that to be the price of the full adult kit...and even then $$$. I definitely wouldn't be buying a new one each season, for that money you could splash out on some really nice clothes that will take them a lot further than a footy kit.

As a lot of posters have already said it is that price as people pay it. If you want to protest a little, just buy the top and get some generic white shorts and blue socks. If you don't think you can do that as your child is somehow missing out then the clubs/kit makers have got you right where they want you. Supply and demand.

It’s ridiculous, especially now that all clubs bring out 3 new kits a year instead of alternating between home and away kits every second year.
We go to Bali or Thailand every couple of years and my son buys about 7 or 8 shirts each time for about 5 pound each
