We spent 13.5m on a player, now whilst its not a massive amount, as pointed out above its the 3rd highest fee we have paid in our history, if thats not a statement im not sure what is.

Its a major risk for the manager, he will be judged on this signing, given its considerable amount, its a statement from the board that they are willing to back and support the manager.

All in all a very pleasing window on the main, IMO.

Clearly due to the lad being an unknown and being crap on FM and FIFA wont please everybody, but im fairly sure once he settles we will have a real weapon to use.

We needed to shift some deadwood and we've done that. McGeady we've got a nice loan fee for that covers his wages and Naismith we got a great fee for, plus got his wages off the books.

I reckon Gibson has ended up staying partly due to the Besic injury, and partly due to the fact that nobody was willing to take him on loan that he wanted to go to - did hear that he turned down Wednesday and another Championship club earlier in the window...

I'm actually hoping he helps Wednesday up (via play offs probs) by playing a blinder and they have to buy him due to fan pressure.

A long shot I feel but still.
