Doubt very much we got a fee for McGeady, we will be very lucky if they are paying his wages.

I think most fans would have been willing to pay actual money to see him leave tho.

Hopefully he utterly smashes it and somebody snaps him up in the Summer, a sad, sad day when he returns to the club.

Sheff Weds are paying enough to cover the majority of his wages at least mate, or so I am led to believe by a work-mate who does get snippets from that club.

They've got money to burn and they want to at least make the play-offs this season.

He should boss that league, will be given more time than he gets in the Prem.

Im hopeful!!!
Quite the opposite actually. Living in Ipswich I watch a fair few of their games and you get far less time in the championship than you do in the Premier.

£7 million net is nothing, and im not that bothered about the money, I just want to see us improve the squad and that xan happen with minus net spend.

I wouldn't say Ipswich are the best example of Championship football to be fair!
I would. It's the same as it's always been regardless of the type of football the current manager plays.

I've lived in Ipswich all my life and have watched Ipswich through the Bobby Ferguson years to John Lyall, George Burley right up until the present.

By and large the second tier remains the same. Far more time in the Premier league than at championship level.

I'd have to disagree sadly. I watch coious amounts of the Championship. More than is natural. Ipswich play football unlike most others. Not a bad thing as it's quite industrial, for want of a better word, different to say how Wednesday play. Quite an attacking open game with players like Foristieri making the difference. I've longed for Town to have that type of player for ages (my dad is a Town fan in case you didn't know). Not a slate on Ipswich and Mick either I should add. He got them out of real trouble but to say he's limited would be an understatement! (Not all his fault either).

McGeady should really do well at Wednesday.

But don't you think there are more teams in the championship that actually play similar to Ipswich than not?

Can't say I've seen too many good footballing sides in all honesty.

Not that similar to Ipswich no. Take when Birmingham beat Town at Portman Road this season in that hideious away kit. It wasn't neccessarily great football, which of course it wouldn't be, but it was more open football which is what we're talking about. McGeady should have a whle of time.

He probs won't though.

Sorry for being the party pooper.

We had this money at the start of January.
The same January where we have spluttered and lost games.

Why not buy him at the start and we might have a few more points and be at a cup final.
Who knows?

If he is the player we are lead to believe then we should get him on day one, not the eleventh hour.

However, I hope he does well and we smash teams from here on! ;)

More open football than the Premier League? We'll agree to disagree on this one;)
