How about the ECHR decisions that compel the UK to allow convicted prisoners to vote? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31356895

There's a hard, factual example of one of the utter absurdities of the Human Rights Act. Even the Labour Government before 2010 refused to enact domestic legislation to met the decision made by the ECHR on this subject.

The Human Rights Act was a very rushed piece of legislation and is in urgent need of reform. Maybe repealing it and starting again might even be a quicker way of solving the problem, allowing our human rights to continue to be enshrined in law but with the loopholes and absurdities removed?
I actually think that convicted prisoners should have the right to vote. Doesn't seem absurd to me.
 

He's a lefty. He can't help calling you racist, sexist or homophobe if he feels he's losing the argument. It's just what comes naturally.

Please keep these types of comments off the thread, they do not add to the discussions and tend to lead to hostile responses.
