It was to amend them to allow a company to hire a British person over a non British person. Nothing about race.

Wasn't he talking about for two equally skilled people, an employer can choose to then pick the British person. Lol skin colour and religion as if either of those two things would make you not British.
There's no such thing as two equally skilled people. It's what people use to justify a discriminatory practice. Look at how feminists use that argument to justify women being hired over men.

That said. I agree with him although it is discriminatory but too bad. Foreign workers shouldn't be allowed to get benifits which means that hiring a foreign worker ultimately means one more native worker on the dole costing us money and them the oportunity to work.

No - you were told what tax avoidance is.

Not until you were fronted with the IDS evidence did you change your tune. THEN it was rich & poor.

You didn't provide any evidence I asked for of all these alleged SCROUNGERS. They're there because you said they were. Not that you could back up what your claims, mind.

All I was saying on my post was that I don't like people cheat the system at either end. What's wrong with saying that.

You are quite right that is not on. Having said that, the former Labour MP where I live Peter Pike was always right up near the top for claiming expenses, his annual figure averaged around £150,000 per year, but that was before the fiddling was cracked down on.
I totally agree but I've yet to work in a company where the staff aren't doing the same when given the oportunity. We're no better.

Just had to explain to my sister, working mother of two children, one of whom is disabled, that she's well and truly fooked.

Not a nice thing to have to say at all.

On the upside, the super-rich are cracking open the caviar and champers tonight.

Me neither, nothing wrong with that. Im just trying to ascertain if yourself and others are aware of how the cuts are being dished out in to the sick and dying for example

My god you've descended into absolute hysteria from about 11pm yesterday

Don't buy that. It's scapegoating.

The tories won because noone wanted Miliband as prime minister.

Spot on.

The Labour party and it's supporters need to take it on the chin, not make any excuses and sort it out. The SNP may have had a small effect here and there in England, but can't be blamed for Labour's failure. Hiding behind excuses would be awful. If nothing else, the country needs a credible opposition.

Oh so it was UKIP then?

That's where you get your SCROUNGERS dogma from is it??

http://politicalscrapbook.net/2014/...mants-are-parasitic-underclass-of-scroungers/

Accused of “pointing at immigrants and the disabled and holding his nose”on Question Time last night, Farage retorted that he “never has” criticised people with disabilities.

Yeah, Nige. Apart from in that manifesto policy document which was mysteriouslydeleted from the UKIP website last year.

The party claimed that 75% of incapacity benefit claimants “are fit and healthy”, dubbing them “a parasitic underclass of scroungers” and handing them a £1,300 cut in state aid:

“The welfare state has also created a brazen culture of benefit “scrounging”, whereby individuals who are perfectly capable of working refuse to do so, and go on benefits instead. They frequently justify this by feigning illness.

“This gives rise to a parasitic underclass of “scroungers”, which represents both an unreasonable tax burden on the working population

What a guy, eh?
What's your point?

In his eyes those 75% aren't disabled so whether the person writing the article agrees with him or not he wasn't lying.

But....

I have a close family member who is on these benifits and she works 3 days a week which is all she's capable of doing but if she didn't work at all then she would probably get more overall. The system is so wrong and makes people angry. There's no doubt Farage exploits that but he's not 100% wrong.

I bet she was in a great mood until you turned up, next time she will hide behind the couch when your car pulls up.
