2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Part of me does feel like an improvement under Moyes is coming, which feels more likely than any of those other sides going on any significant run from now.

Hopefully not misguided optimism!

I don't think it's going to great by any means but I think we will pick up the points required to finish above the teams below. If any of the promoted sides bother to get their act together in future though we're in a bad place.

Watch out for Dyche turning up at Leicester. It's going to happen.

I predicted that BEFORE we got rid that he would end up at one of our rivals for survival. For whatever reason Leicester rushed to get Ruud when he left Manure - I am not sure why. They're now discovering he is not a Premier League level manager. Contract until June 2027 but an immediate relegation back to the Championship would probably cost them more.

Genuinely think we only need to get 4 more wins and the fact that we still have three games at home against the teams below us gives me some hope we will be fine.
5 absolute must win games for me are Leicester, wolves, saints, palace and Ipswich.

Also think we can get something out of spurs and West ham games

The rest are pretty much a write off, just need to avoid a big hammering for goal difference as we're comfortably above in that regard at the moment

First post as a Town fan so hi to all.

So what is this fantastic Premier League we were all promised? After two wonderful seasons I'm hating virtually all of it, can't even watch our games now. From hope following Wednesday's results midweek to despair again after a really poor effort against Brighton.

The main thing in our favour is that we have less to lose, and of course consistency and a great manager, just still not convinced there's three worse teams than us (two certainly). You did a great professional job on us in October. West Ham don't look great, we play them last game.

All good fun..

Oh God I hope so.

I they do Leicester will stay up.

He'll make them defensively more solid and they have a player or two that can snap up a chance.

Dyche is going to Leicester in a couple of weeks max. So we're left hoping that yesterday's man Moyes has us 5th from bottom and with breathing space in this relegation fight when he does just to give us a chance.

They have a worse squad than us, it would take a much higher calibre of manager than Van Nistelrooy or Dyche to keep them up.
