2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

I thought we would need five more wins before end of season to guarantee safety as we'll obviously pick up a few draws too, alongside not losing to direct rivals.

Our best path to safety.

Spurs home ✅
Leicester home
West Ham home
Ipswich home
Southampton home
Wolves away

United home, Palace away, Fulham away also opportunities to pick up some points.

I'm happy that Moyes emphasised the need to add to the squad now because we can't just assume we'll win home games against poor sides in the division.

We've got a horrible April on the agenda so it's vital we pick up at least three more wins before then, which we're more than capable of doing.

Palace away will be a really difficult game mate, they have finally adapted to Glasners tactics and right now are flying in the league. I'd snap your hand off for a point in that game.

Fully agree it will be a difficult game, but we've got the defence to keep Mateta quiet (although he does like a goal against us tbf). A lot of our games will be really close and come down to whether we can take our chances.

Ipswich will drop their team is Championship apart from Delap and a couple of others, Mckenna has done well to make them competitive considering the lack of quality they have. He is a promising coach who will move on to bigger things but I think they willl go having watched them quite a bit they will struggle to get thirty
I also watch out for them, my bros in law 60+, travelled from Bristol yesterday, pushbike and train. Left house at 8am, home midnight.
Full respect to all away fans regardless of team ..
I think Ipswich might just get out above Wolves. The way Newcastle dismantled them the other week I think changed their mindset. They are more defensive aware now, changed back their keeper, they are reducing the times they mess around at the back. My nephews tell me Hirst ,when he gets fit might be the support up front they need, he is starting to return to the line up now.
It's a huge ask of them, Anfield next week and yesterday aren't going to define them, the one after against Southampton, there we will know what they have.
I'd love to see them stay up along with us obviously, it would be a dream to watch the fixture at our new home next season with the family.
