2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

We’ve lost less games than everyone in the bottom half bar Palace (yes derby still to play but we don’t lose many of them at home). We’ll now be playing to win more games rather than looking for a draw. Yes, we’ll prob lose a few more but we’ll win a few more too.

Not out of the woods yet but I’m feeling a whole lot better than after Forest / B’mouth

I’m actually surprised he hasn’t been sacked immediately after the game. Yes they have injuries but Ange really is not up to this level by a long way

Brentford will turn over this Spurs next weekend.

I can only guess they just want to give him the domestic cups which are in two weeks. Lose both and he is 100% gone.

Then the next one gets the brief to win the Europa league to get them back into the CL but that's a big ask.

That's the key in relegation battles. Anyone can win a game here and there e.g. Southampton infamously in November...

What really changes the narrative is winning back to back games. So this is the chance for Leicester. Will they kick on now or not be able to handle a fired up Goodison? Ipswich also won v Chelsea but again one point since.

Think only other team who've won back to back games is Wolves but they were so far behind everyone else they had to do that just to catch up.

Will be different if they do that again in next few weeks. They certainly can't be writing off the Villa game given Mings went off and they had to play Digne at LCB for an hour against West Ham.

It was good weekend until Leicester and WHU. I still think the onus is on Leicester against us. A point wouldn't be disastrous a loss would be though. I do think Wolves will go on a run.
