2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Especially when Wolves get 3 points on Sunday!
C'mon you Wolves!

Also no way are we getting relegated now even with this threadbare squad. Moyes has got such an improvement in performance that it will look like we were never even in a dire position in the first place. I just hope now that old manager bounce is like new manager bounce but for much much longer.

I think we are now at the point were we can all collectively like Wolves to get something.... A few weeks back this would have been a different story!

Will be a tough game tomorrow evening at Palace. If we somehow sneak a win there then I think it’s probably more about looking up the table but we’ll see how it goes.

I actually think we’ve got a better chance of beating Man United than we do beating Palace right now

If you told me that it’d be a draw tomorrow and a win next week, then I’d take it quite happily

Even though it was only 1 point I think Wednesday made us safe. When the gap was 9 I was thinking it only takes 2 wins for the teams below to get to striking distance of us but 10 with the goal difference on top means even a couple of wins when we lose and there's still a healthy gap. You're not totally safe until you are obviously, but it would be one hell of a turnaround now.

There’s visible light at the end of the tunnel now

Just a bit more work to do and we could be all but safe with games to play

I don't think all of Wolves, Leicester or Ipswich get 10 points to finish the season.

That's before we accrue any more points and what? We're averaging 1.12 points per game, which means we're currently on course for 42 points.

So 2 of Leicester, Wolves and Ipswich will need to accrue close to 20 points from 14 when none have accrued that many through 24 games?

Safe to say we're safe. Now it's a case of looking up and trying to get as much prize money as possible.

You can see the difference between hysterical guff like that and the more reasonable posts other people make though right?

There’s a huge gulf between saying “we’re doomed” to “we’re doing well but there’s still some work that needs doing”

Of course I do, you act like I pick out your posts regularly in this thread but I don’t. I very rarely pull up your posts, only when something particularly outlandish gets said. If you notice I was hardly calling out anyone in here when the former manager had us losing every week and 1 point off the relegation zone. There was a time when people had every right to be worried, just as I was at that time.

I think if both Leicester & Ipswich lose on Saturday regardless of our own result then that'll realistically be that.

I think it already is to be honest. You're looking at both Wolves and Leicester needing to win the same number of games in their last 14 games that they managed in their first 23/24 games just to catch where we are now. After this weekend, only 13 games remaining... The number of games available to pick up points will disappear quickly.

looking at the fixtures of Wolves Ipswich and Leicester I can see Wolves best case scenario for them 6 wins Ipswich and Leicester 4 wins max for each so a couple of wins for us between now and the end of the season should see us through,

i think its imperative that we dont lose against any of them when we play them 👍

It’s handy that Ipswich, Leicester and Wolves are so closely bunched together and we’ve got the ten point gap from 18th

This run from Moyes has been so important
