2024/25 Relegation Thread

Because Branthwaite is obviously still not 100%.
He shouldn't be near a bench, so.

He's been available weeks - and he's still being left out until we're chasing games. If he's fit enough to come on when we're chasing a game, he's fit enough to play at least a full half.

If he wants to protect him, leave him out of the squad.

If the squad is as much improved as you say it is, then we should be demanding a hell of a lot more than the dross we've witnessed with an inadequate points return so far this term. Anything else is apologia.

Ah well, if you're not concerned about relegation nobody else should be, eh? Sitting in 16th place, having lost to the then bottom of the league side that has previously won zero games is by the by and anything contrary to that is "dishonest" apparently. Your ego knows no bounds, David.
Anyone with half a clue about football can see that we're way better than a relegation outfit.

As said earlier: this thread is a proxy for screaming about the manager.

People should be more honest about that.

I remember when we had Martinez and he took us down to 11th in the table...and there were people then creating and using a relegation thread as another means to get at the manager. 11th in the 'kin table!!!

And that's what this thread is all about too. The same type of people who's only joy in supporting Everton is to get the thrill of another managerial sacking and appointment to hand them something to get excited about.

It's pathetic. Utterly pathetic.

You don't get to decide other people's concerns, David. You also are dreadful at determining other people's motivations. You prove that on an almost daily basis in here.

No, I've said he's not our starting CF. He's very wasteful but he can lead the line.

No Dave you've said he's crap. But we'll let that go. We're not a million miles from agreeing.
As you've asked. One from each club below?
Wolves. Cunha
Southampton. Armstrong
Ipswich. Delap
Palace. Eze or meteta.
Dont even try and kid on our frontline is much better than those around us. Its all a muchness.

Still think its a close very similar quality between us all, just hope we can get players back fit then bring in more in jan who can make a difference.
We have a manager who doesn't flap and is a proven asset in any dog fight should it come to that. That cant be underestimated either.

They won’t go down this season but they need to get their act together. One day 3 teams will come up with their stuff together and some established clubs will start to get very nervous because they can’t rely on several promoted clubs being terrible

We have better options up front and a top PL CD unit when it's paired together.

Tell me that other teams down the bottom have that. You cant.

Tarkowski and Craig Dawson is pretty much the same profile of CB. Luckily Wolves didn't bother to replace Kilman at all and that's cost them a good 5-6 points already this season.

Guehi just spent the summer starting games for England and been decent this season, Trevor Chalobah now fit and starting to make an impact for Palace.

I think if you're just comparing this squad to Wolves and Palace it's similar and weaker in areas like CM. I really rate Ndiaye as people can see from my posts but Wolves have Cunha on their left who's an excellent counter attack player and Eze at Palace isn't even a debate.

The big problem currently is Leicester are showing with their experience they're far more streetwise at this level than Luton were and are actually getting draws and the odd win from playing pretty badly so far. Could do with them getting a few injuries and losing four in a row, think they have a hard run coming up so they shouldn't pull away and Cooper will quickly come under pressure.
