2024/25 Relegation Thread

Why would we get rid of a manager who knows how to keep a team up?

This is intentionally bad advice to a bottom half of the table rival.

You cannot be backing the current managerial regime at Everton Dave, dire football, 25% possession, less than a goal a game, he will take us down unless we change in December to give an interim to get us over the line

I don't believe this dope is the best we can get, there are plenty of managers out there who would love around 5 million a year, we also have a better squad than last year, his style and attitude are dragging the performance down and down

I cannot say I have actually enjoyed a game or even a half during this bonehead's tenure this season

He must go.....

Also let this sink in - he left a 70 million plus player on the bench for Michael Keane - he takes our best player off on the hour and we drop points from winning positions - twice.

Worse than Mike Walker this guy! and makes Walter Smith look a tactical genius (remember 7 defenders on the pitch at one time)

Agree with it if is another short term manager for the rest of the season becuase thats what you most likely will get. If they do let dyche go and get a manager they want long term is fine with me makes more sense because his record is poor.

Hiya Fox. I don't see a world where Everton ever go down. We just don't do relegation. We nearly do, but we don't. Not being arrogant, it is just how I feel.
Yeah I agree. Not even really putting you in the group of teams that could drop. It's us, Ipswich, Southampton, Palace and at a push wolves

We are no better than Wolves.. and the problem we will have is Palace and yourselves will go for games and pick up 3pts here and there. Atm we are being set up not to lose against the 'lesser' teams rather than go at them and we aren't going to draw our way to safety

How soon people forget. Last season we had no right to survive: 2 sets of points deductions heaped on an already relegation threatened football team.

It was one of the greatest escapes in PL history.

Now "he'll take us down" because we've lost 1 match in the last 7 games.

Heard it all now.

We had such a terrible start losing 4 on the bounce including throwing a 2-0 lead with 5 minutes to go at home to a team that are one you`d be thinking of getting all 3 against. That had people panicking from the start.
After that you can say we only lost 1 in 7 games, which makes it sound like we are on a good run and moving in the right direction, but after a couple of wins, against teams that are struggling too, we have had a couple of shocking performances that we got a draw in and were beaten by a Southampton team that could n`t buy a league win till we rocked up to St Marys. Its when you look at those last 3 games a lot of people will be wondering if we have started to slip back to the form of the first few games and if we do, with tougher games coming up after the international break, we`ll be right in the middle of a relegation fight.

The bookies disagree.
Everton are amongst the favourites to go down and it’s hard to argue with that based on current form.
We are Fav's no matter what. We are the easy target even if we were doing ok,as there would be something else they pulled out the bag to have a go at us  We have thrown away at least 7 points this season, Bournemouth & Villa, plus at least a point at the saints to name just 3 games

What has last season got to do with our chances this time around?

You may not be old enough to remember this, but I once saw a manager get relegated one season before producing the most phenomenal, incredible, fifthest fifth-place finish in the history of association football the next.

It was so magical, some even likened it to a mythical ancient kingdom of light.

Another club in the league has also managed to go from 14th to 1st and 8th to 18th!

I tiny you underestimate us too much.
