2024/25 Relegation Thread

It’s that time. One of the teams near us is going to gamble on a manager change. Needs to be us I think this time. Martin looks to be buying himself another couple of weeks, Leicester and Palace or dithering but surely will act soon.

Southampton beating Big Red and we’ll get told by the Dychette’s in a couple of weeks time that we can’t expect anything more than to cower away in a corner and hope they keep hitting the post to come away with a draw.

I wouldn't have blamed him per se mate, but we would have been relegated under him yes.

Like I think I said earlier, I watched is at Burnley in 2022/23, and honestly we looked like the team who would go down, not them. I genuinely thought we were down that night, I couldn't see them not staying up.

I’m honestly not bothered what you were thinking at the Burnley away game mate  The very simple facts of the matter are that Dyche got sacked after winning 4 games in 33 and losing at already relegated Norwich City several weeks after that game you keep referencing. They then went on a little run and nearly stayed up under the caretaker, but it was too little too late after where Dyche had left them.

I see it differently mate. I think Dyche would have won the key games as he did in other years.

But that means nothing. We’re dealing in facts and not your feelings. If we’re playing the feelings game then I think if we sack him now we’ll win all of our December fixtures. That’s just as meaningless as what you’re saying you think might have happened in a hypothetical world. There’s just as little evidence to support it.

Sean Dyche relegated Burnley in 2021/22. The end.
