2024/25 Relegation Thread

It'll come from United.

We're getting a hiding next week - not because United are any good, but because our players are gutless and our manager will set them up in the manner of a coward.
And we still have a manager who will show them too much respect, and come out afterwards saying how we played one of the top teams in England.

This time Last year we had 4 points (14 pre 10 pt deduction) so we are 3 pts off last season and we then won 4 in a row between Dec 2nd and 16th ? that aint happening this time
Last year we had the luxury that our "competition" was ShefU and Burnley - two of the worst teams in the history of the Prem that had 8 wins all season between them. There are not 2 or 3 standout teams significantly worse than us this year.

Correct mate , we are defo in the worst 4 , only Southampton maybe a stand out to go down and I think Wolves and Palace are in false positions and will climb out. That leaves us, Leicester, Ipswich and if we are lucky a surprise team gets dragged down there

He'll get us safe. He's not really the problem. Not having forwards who can score is.

27 shots we had and got 5 on target.

Dyche doesn't get to take those chances the players do.
Taking speculative shots that have a 1 in 25 chance of going in is because the manager hasn't worked on ways to break a team down.
1.2 xG for those 27 shots and most of the game against 10 men
That's on the manager

At the moment he has just scored a hatrick from memory, and was leading the PL scoring charts? Just for some context.

I did qualify the statement a little, and referenced that it was as a target man and number 9.

He didn't kick on though, he got injured and he fell away. Rather than kicking on as might have been expected, he is a shadow of that player.

One of them, watching us under Carlo that season and now feels a very long way away!

We've been extremely lucky, and we also lost to chuffing southampton in that time, a joke!! We can't even score... last night was absymal... really bad...

I mean have we been lucky? We had what looked a good goal chalked off v Southampton, and should have been playing 10 men. We were very unlucky in that game.
