2024/25 Relegation Thread

There is no relegation fight for us this season. Not realistically.

This season's trauma is all about watching a pony Liverpool team being carried to a title they dont deserve by the corrupt PL/PGMOL syndicate.

Horrific news about Michail Antonio coming in. Only found out about it twenty minutes ago so I think West Ham-Wolves is going to be called off very soon indeed as puts endless talk about relegation six pointers in perspective quite significantly.
It does mate but so does everything , kids starving and bombings of hospitals . If you put it in context there wouldn’t be a footy forum yet here we all are . Beer and circuses isn’t it ?

Certainly only wish the lad the very best , terrible news

Oh yeah life goes on and that but reading the first statement did rock me and I'm no fan of West Ham at all but it's a human life at the end of the day. Haven't had any desire to watch Man. United-Forest because of it.

At least he's stable in Hospital which was a better update than I was expecting when I first saw the news so hopefully he keeps progressing. One of those players who's maximised his talent and more in the last 15 years.

We are defo in a fight till we are not. I do think like the previous seasons, at the end of the day we will end up safe.
Ipswich, S'ton and Wolves look terrible to me. Outside of those three I dont see a great deal of hope for Palace or Leicester putting a run together that takes them out of it.

Those 5 look terrible to me.

We're posting a sequence of 2 defeats in 9 games. We are solid if unspectacular. We'll remain so all season. That will be more than enough to get safe.

When does it not become a relegation fight? I would say 7-8 points is a decent buffer as needs a three game swing but even then you're still in the fringes as we saw in the 21/22 season when team had an excellent start but inevitably dropped down the league in the winter months.

Just thinking the teams at the bottom are never ever going to win is really dangerous. It worked last season granted but this year will be more like 22/23 so 35-36 points needed as a minimum.

I think I mentioned this last week but how many away wins you reckon this team is getting in second half of the season as probably going to need 3-4 to be comfortable.

Haven't Palace also posted a similar run to that? In the last 6-7 games they've beaten Spurs, got a point at Villa and just drawn with Man. City. Also won the big 6 pointer at Ipswich comfortably. Also didn't lose at Wolves.

They'll pull clear keeping Eze fit, he's that important to them.

Couldn’t care less what happens the Title. This is all about us and we are right in the shizzle this year.
I could. Massively so.

We've all seen in the last three seasons Everton in dire straits. This doesn't look like that. Not at all.

We're above the fray - just. But more importantly we aren't now being rolled over by too many teams.

I'd place our chances of relegation at about 5%.

We're even now on target fro 38.

Villa and City teams in the doldrums.
