2024/25 Relegation Thread

By the way, Palace: I thought they looked ropey even against a badly medicore City team.

I dont expect them to get much from their next 3 games: Brighton (a), Arsenal (h), Bournemouth (a).

And I dont expect their attackers to have the form they showed last season.

They'd be my choice for a team falling through the cracks this time round, tbh. I know many will disagree, but I dont see anything in that team. And that manager of theirs is a bit of a bluffer IMO.

Ten Hag would say the same. And every other manager there. Apart from Davey. We seem to be particularly rank against them with the odd exception at GP.

You know it seems that way and we havent a good record but we've not been battered like the 4-0 the other day since Koeman. Which was also 4-0.
Ancelotti got a draw. 3-3
Drew under benetiz with that great Andros townsened goal. season before that was another 1-1 draw.
Other games have been 2 niils or 2-1s.
We last took a real good hiding in 2017. Koeman.
All i know is i look at this united side and everyone gives them a game.
We rolled over/collapsed, whatever it was. We made them look good.

I was angry enough after the game last week but watching united yesterday I think I was even worse , they were so poor and we completely capitulated against them . That United team won’t have an easier 70 mins against anyone this season , I doubt half of them broke sweat second half .

I’m making myself even more angry typing it . result was disgraceful and I don’t think the 4-0 wolves win , however much I enjoyed it , completely wiped out the OT performance.

I’m still waiting for a result that wipes out the saints loss

I think they might only win one game this season so it’s another disgrace but for some reason United is making me more angry . Maybe it’s recency bias , maybe it’s the total capitulation or just because I say forest just have a little go at them yesterday but it’s certainly winding me up .

100% my sentiments.
Its just typical that the only "new manager bounce" he's had is Everton. Spurs is another one where i dont think they broke sweat.
Just fingers crossed stuff now for the next 6 or 7 weeks.
Dyche should have had this team on at least 19/20 points by now with the set of fixtures. We needed that cushion with dec/jan fixtures.
Arsenal away next week has the potential bloodbath.

Have to love Dave's contrary posts on here. They have Southampton at home straight after those three. Then early in 2025 they have a run of West Ham, Leicester, Brentford and Everton so they should be over 20 points when getting in February.

Just concentrate on the current bottom 3. Ipswich-Bournemouth is interesting one. Ipswich were terrible the other night and Bournemouth were really good v Spurs so there should only be one winner but Ipswich have had 48 hours extra recovery time so that's my big concern about that as Bournemouth won't change their team too much and it's a long old trek up to Suffolk.

That's how things can change quickly. Ipswich dig out their first home win and then go to Wolves and win and put the final nail in O'Neil's managerial coffin and suddenly they're on 15 points and table has a different complexion going into Xmas.

Brentford are the weirdest team in the country right now.
22 points out of 24 at home. Title winning side.
1 point out of 21 away from home. Against Everton lol.

Front two have 18 goals between them.
Our 2nd highest scorer is Craig Dawson.
Why cant we have nice things like forwards that hit the net.

We would if they were coached properly. Put DCL in that Brentford team he scores. Put Wissa in ours, he doesn't. No dark arts behind it.

Im not convinced about that. I dont even think they would buy him.
Seen Wissa few times 1 on 1s with keeper. Hit the net.
DCL misses them.
Could be searching for answers when the answer might just be poor manager poor striker.

Forest casually winning away at Liverpool and Man Utd. Think they’ve won more away at the ‘big six’ (in front of fans) in 4 months than we’ve managed in 25 years.

They won with Dyche numbers of possession both games. Can praise Nuno that he found a way to made his team really effective with similar numbers like Dyche in many aspects.

Nuno is also a quite dull manager, but can see him doing the same as he did with Wolves finishing top half.
