2024/25 Relegation Thread

People may have to be realistic and say Wolves are in the position they are has nothing to do with fixtures and everything to do with being a very bad team. Crystal Palace, Everton, Bournemouth, West Ham etc are not tough fixtures, yet they are not winning those games either.

Sometimes the obvious answer is a clear one. A bad team don't suddenly become good with a new manager or allegedly better fixtures.

Good stuff. That Wolves V Ipswich game is very interesting. I guess a draw is ideal but if there is a loser then that team is in a real dire position on 9 points after 16. That would probably leave 4 teams scrapping to avoid the final spot which are reasonable odds for our survival hopes

Pretty much reduces the chance of being in the bottom three at any stage of Xmas to a remote possibility even if losing the next three.

You'd think with Ait-Nouri and Cunha largely playing on the left all their play would centre on creating overloads but they rarely did it tonight and largely fluffed any counters they did create.

West Ham will just have a nondescript mid table season and will pull a win out of the bag when they really need one so this was the much better result for the long term.

Leicester-Wolves the next weekend aswell.

Wolves are really gambling if they give O'Neil those two games aswell. Lose both and the next manager will get another run of fixtures against mainly top half teams.
