2024/25 Relegation Thread

He has a contract until 2028.

Not sure on their finances/whether they can easily sack him or spend in January.

That defence sends them down as it is.

I think they need to sell to be able to spend. Whoever the manager is will have an uphill struggle with all but Ait-Nouri needing replacing at the back.

If we can beat Forest it gives us a real shot of being at the halfway mark on 18 or 19 points potentially. That’s then asking any new manger to go at a point per game for the second half of the season to stay up.

3pts from our next 2 i think. Based on Dyche doing just enough to keep his job longer.

Cunha was going mad too. Didn't look good.

This looks like a team shattering from the inside.

Their best two players, Ait-Nouri & Cunha.

If TFG signed those two for us then we'd have a star attacking left back and a great replacement for Doucoure.

I'm sure Wolves need to sell to reinvest and they do need to reinvest.

Looking like we will require a win against Chelsea to be comfortably enough clear of the relegation zone by Christmas.

The most important thing is not to be in the actual bottom three at any stage.

Get through the next few weeks (and January) not falling into it and should then look to push up the table more in final three months.

Ipswich are pretty odd, 8 points already away from home compared to just 4 points at home so seems like their style is better away but a limit to how many points they can get on the road being newly promoted.

See if they back it up at home to Newcastle next week.

Wolves are just self-sabotaging at this point if they keep O'Neil any longer. Any fight at the final whistle today between a player and coaching staff so their discipline is non-existent.

I wish people would stop being so cocky when it comes to the other bottom half teams.

There's so much more football to be played this season. We're not out of the woods just yet.

Yeah the gap actually close this weekend from 5 to 3 points. Ipswich win again next weekend and it might just be down to 1 point or either GD so it's still thin margins.

Does feel like another season though when the squad will pull out an excellent draw and/or crucial six pointer win just when it's needed as we've seen with the Ipswich and Wolves wins.

Ipswich dont forget have numerous new players this season. McKenna brought in alot and so you'd expect them to improve over time.

I also expect Ipswich to spend in Jan.

Southampton are finished
Wolves are imploding
Leicester seem to be the ones dropping

I'd like to see Palace & Wolves down simply because they have players we could do with.

Can't see anyone decent at Palace or Wolves dreaming of playing for this club just yet. Same as likes of Tielemans and Maddison didn't just rock up here after Leicester's relegation, they went to top 5 clubs.

Someone like Ait-Nouri is more realistic but he's a far worse defender on one v ones than Myko so that needs to be considered.

Oh god Ipswich have Newcastle at home next??

Depends who they can attract, been pretty much lower league bar Cajuste who came from Napoli.

Can see them sending Kalvin Phillips back to Man. City. Another terrible loan, good job he didn't come here as he's done at this level now.
