2024/25 Relegation Thread

Can't see anyone decent at Palace or Wolves dreaming of playing for this club just yet. Same as likes of Tielemans and Maddison didn't just rock up here after Leicester's relegation, they went to top 5 clubs.

Someone like Ait-Nouri is more realistic but he's a far worse defender on one v ones than Myko so that needs to be considered.

I'd hold onto Mykolenko (unless a £20mil bid came in) as he's great against the best right wingers and i expect hes not on a big salary either.

Ait-Nouri and most LBs wont hold a candle to him 1v1 but attacking wise I dont think we could hope for much better than Ait-Nouri to hit the ground running -- next to Branthwaite as well he may look a lot better.

Ipswich winner today was annoying but they also have some tough games to come for the rest of this month and January.

Newcastle H
Arsenal A
Chelsea H
Fulham A
Brighton H
City H
Liverpool A

Will struggle to get even draws against most of those. They struggle against pace on the counter so don't think they'll beat Newcastle.

Them beating Wolves is the better result in the long run, leaves the next manager having to win more games for Wolves.

I wish people would stop being so cocky when it comes to the other bottom half teams.

There's so much more football to be played this season. We're not out of the woods just yet.
If our players and staff were fighting at the of a game I'd be ashamed and I'd also be resigned that we were 100% going down.

Depends who they can attract, been pretty much lower league bar Cajuste who came from Napoli.

Can see them sending Kalvin Phillips back to Man. City. Another terrible loan, good job he didn't come here as he's done at this level now.

Delap and Hutchinson were astute signings. Young, high potential and slotted in well.

Greaves has been injured and only made 8 games so not much to say about him.

I think they'd stick to the younger players so if they stay up they have solid foundations and if relegated they have big assets to sell.
