2024/25 Relegation Thread

Be interesting to see what happens, Moyes has said no to them up to this point.

He’s been their top choice.

I don't think they can afford to sack O'Neil (financially) otherwise they would have already done so. His haunted look at the end of every game is because he's stuck there, unless he resigns and he won't do that. Even if he did any manager capable of saving them would want to pull their pants down (financially) and again they can't afford it.

They are very close to breaching PSR and might even have to sell Cunha in January just to stay ahead of that.

Wolves have to sack him even if it means selling a couple of fringe players to pay for it, and just give it to a youth team coach or something. Massive toxicity. Hilarious seeing players fighting and showing pashun after losing, but no-one going up for a header in the box.

Leicester wonderfully awful. The return of Choudry to the midfield. I watched him a good few times in Leicesters youth teams and was often head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. The fact that he was equalled in one game by Garbutt shows how big a step up it is. Their squad is all over the place. And they shouldn’t be able to reinforce Jan.

Speaking of Leicester, Dewsbury Hall might get minutes in the European Mickey Mouse cup, but he was mad to go to Chelsea. Would love to send Harrison back and have him on loan.

What’s happened?
At the full time whistle there was a couple of scuffles, Ait Nouri got a 2nd yellow card and Delap got a yellow card, Ait Nouri had to be physically removed from the pitch.

In a separate incident Cunha ripped the glasses off the face of an Ipswich security guard. The premier league can’t let that go unpunished

Ipswich v Newcastle
Palace v Arsenal
Leicester v Wolves
Everton v Chelsea

There’s a chance we could be in the drop zone at the end of next weekend, but I think Arsenal will get something at Palace. However it does look incredibly likely that we’ll be in the drop zone going into the Forest game, for me. I think Ipswich and Leicester will both win next week.

We simply need to beat Chelsea.

Stop trying to predict results you’re absolutely horrendous at it.

That's a gimme win for Leicester next weekend. Cunha should certainly be banned for that and will probably be out until February so they're going to have very little threat down the left.

Thinking about it it's pretty much identical to giving Lampard game after awful home game two years back. If he'd stayed in charge another two then that would've resulted in relegation as near certainty wouldn't have beaten Arsenal but luckily there was a two week break to get Dyche in and he got the results needed but it was as tight as you can get so that's the same scenario for Wolves now.

Moyes was watching Preston-Leeds today so he's quite clearly not interested in the Wolves job. Same for Potter.
