2024/25 Relegation Thread

We've conceded 10 goals in 3 games, carry on at this rate we're heading to concede 100 goals plus. I'll be interested to see what Dyche's claptrap rhetoric would be. He banged on about XG last season and that paying us back. Can't wait to see XG put the ball in the back of the net this season.
We are also missing our far and away best defender.

It's concerning, but it cannot be overstated the upgrade from Keane to Branthwaite

My uncle turns 95 years of age today. He only goes to around 7 or 8 matches a season now, but he had a season ticket for many decades. He's seen us win the league on six occasions, he's seen us win the FA Cup 4 times and obviously he's also seen us win a European trophy. He has seen us play at Wembley live on more than a dozen occasions.

He's also borne witness to some pretty horrible moments too, including the 4-0 drubbing by Bolton Wanderers at Goodison under Moyes, the Steven Gerrard hat-rick under Moyes, the 3-0 defeat by Wigan in the quarter-finals at Goodison under Moyes and the 7-0 defeat to Arsenal under Moyes, the latter game being the only away match that he attended that season.

I hope, for his sake, that we don't go down to the lower divisions. It would break his heart. I remember that Palace game under Frank... we looked down and out and the kopites were gleeful. But in the end we showed them all.

It’s going to be weird finishing 17th above Man City, Chelsea and Ipswich this season
Sad thing is City could get a 60 points penalty and likely finish ahead of us (assuming we get around 30-35 points which would normally see us have a 50% chance of relegation).

City definitely going to be getting 85-95 points this season. In any case, once their hearing is all done, they'll be appealing it and they'll likely, somehow, find a way to drag it out years longer, gaining more success in the meantime, and soaking up all the young talent in the country that they can sell off expensively to again find ways around the financial rules.

Look at how Chelsea have made significant profits on players they bought last year and never even played a minute for them.

Both City and Chelsea should be punted to the lower leagues, but they'll probably have already agreed financial penalties that, on the face of it look harsh, but essentially mean nothing at all as it would be a drop in the ocean for their owners.

Villa, Leicester & Palace coming up.

I feel we need 6 points really from these games. Maximum points is a must form Leicester and Palace

I cant see us beating Villa

Bloody internationals. We need to keep playing like we did for most of the time against Bournemouth. Learn from it.
Yup, we can add a few more losses to our tally even sooner then.

I would be quite happy if the international break lasted till next May so they don't embarrass me or spoil my weekends any more tbh.

Why are you randomly selecting Moyes matches?
Why not the two 4-0 defeats at Anfield undo Roberto? Or the 5 conceded there by Silva? Or the 5 conceded at home to Watford by Rafael? Or the 6 at Chelsea under Dyche? We’ve had countless awful results to choose from.

I feel like there’s some sort of agenda at play here with this list of results.
