2024/25 Relegation Thread

Despite the usual cryarses having already awarded Ipswich the Luton fc fabulous spirit award, they look dreadful and have too many players not anywhere near this level. They make so many individual errors it's not possible to survive.

First bit of daylight with the relegation zone.

The positive today is even though still 16th now created a 7 point gap on Wolves (who have Man. City) and 5 points on Palace so pressure on those two to start winning soon. Even 4 points from the next two and above a point a game which is the ratio you need to have a comfortable mid table season.

Yeah Ipswich were really poor today, completely froze from a winnable home game so they need a response to that quick.

Just like last season need to start winning 2-3 in quick succession at Goodison and then it's comfortable like last year.

Fulham's a good chance now. Andersen got sent off so their best CB will be missing next week.

What a disaster from Southampton, probably be facing a new manager when going down there to play them. Can't defend at all at this level.

We win/draw in blocks of games under Dyche, and we lose in blocks too.

We should be on about 15 points atm, but that's just how our luck went early on. 🤷‍♂️

Our next four games on paper are quite good. Fulham (H), Southampton (A), West Ham (A) and Brentford (H). Should really be aiming for three wins out of that lot as the two home games are against sides that will be around us in the table come the end of it and the two away games are against teams in bad shape currently.

I hope we can win the next two.

Gives us P10 14pts and as you say Wham + Brentford to follow who we could pick up points at.

December is a killer so we need to be going all out for wins.

For next three I'd certainly be looking at win at Southampton and draw at West Ham (Kudus suspended and don't think Lopetegui will be lasting too much longer).

Fulham a bit like Newcastle the other week, could go either way. Will have chances to score but will also have periods under pressure.

Anything better and it's at least 14 points from 11 games so you're comfortably staying up with that points ratio.

1PPG is the minimum you need and it shouldn't have taken us as long as it has with a fairly nice schedule. Next four are a BIG opportunity to get well ahead of the run rate ahead of a very difficult christmas period.
