2024/25 Relegation Thread

Cba to check official but i swear wolves ipswich and southampton have had a far tougher set of fixtures so far.
Killer that today. I reckon win today and it would have taken them most of the season to even close that 11 point gap. Could have buried a team today in November.
Yet we give a relegation rival the kiss of life
Koff.

this is really getting bad.

how far from bottom after we lose nxt week?
You need to calm down Matty. We lost to Luton at home last year and we didn't go down, if we're around this position and losing these games in April then get scared. I bet that year Villa were at the bottom before they signed Emery and had slippy in charge that they thought they would drop.

Yeah.i think as ive said many times we will end upsafe by the end of the season, which is all that matters, not what we are doing in oct/nov, and the so called tougher games in Dec. Some people just love dramatics every day,all week, every month. it gets pretty tedious and annoying. Yes we all want better, but some saying pretty much every game we will lose it, before its played is pretty ridiculous. quite simply we should have beat the saints, but obviously we didnt and paid for it in the end missing the chances we did

I knew we'd lose today, was so obvious.

That was really odd, for real. What was it all about?
Who knows with this manager at times. His decision making, game management, his press conferences everything just negative. This was his change to prove everyone wrong, remember on a podcast he said if I went to spurs I wouldn’t play like I did at Burnley. We haven’t got the players spurs have but we are certainly better than Burnley. Not even going to lie, at this moment think the football is worse than what Burnley was, least they had a clear identity. We just boot it up to a lone striker who is isolated, and is marked by 2 defenders as they have no one to worry about on the flick on. Get a manager from abroad, done well for Bournemouth, Brighton etc.

Probably obvious v Ipswich as well. I had us to win today and we should have. though we all know the usual stuff about us and others needing what they need. it does not always happen though
I know what you mean Everton that and all that but the depressing thing is that we are becoming conditioned to predict such results as they become more common. The biggest Everton that will be getting relegated in the last season at Goodison and christening the new stadium in the Championship.

To think Forest were are equals for the past 2 seasons, point deducted through FFP but they have signed a few players with pace and play football, even though they have a big guy up front in Woods.
3rd in the league and above Arsenal

meanwhile Dyche 2 1/2 years later after being here still gives it the sob story of its been like this for a long time.

This clown is leaving our best players on the bench

They were 6 points worse off at this point last season and still finished two places and 8 points below us, they’ve had a good start but they will hit a major slump at some point

We've had a far handier run of fixtures than them.

The day they pass us on the table is the day the penny will drop for many on here.

Oh for sure. They have Southampton at home next week so that has to be a win for them. Could be just a three point gap then. After the break they have Fulham away and Bournemouth home. Neither are certs although Bournemouth did lose at Leicester so they're not the same force away from the South Coast.

If they win at Goodison yet again and pass in the table surely that's the end of Dyche. I can't think of what legitimate excuse could be offered in those circumstances. Blaming injuries when someone like Tim has been benched for weeks would be comical.
