This is completely different.

Then it was a matter of a club stable enough on the pitch but showing no ambition to break through the glass ceiling other than hawking itself around trying to get a stadium scheme or three off the ground. A change of ownership was what was being sought and / or for the club to listen to fans unwilling to be punted out to Kirkby.

This time around the ownership is in place, the stadium is in place and the protests are about getting shut of one or two individuals (Kenwright, Brands and Benitez). This is an onfield demonstration at base. And if Benitez above all was made a sacrifice the so called *structural changes* being sought (which are nothing of the kind compared to the past) will evaporate.

In a nutsell: this is just a "Get the FSW Out" protest, and it's an insult to KEIOC and all the blues who for a decade or more fought for Kenwright to sling his hook to be compared with this stunt.
As I've said in my post if your happy with the owner and the way he delegates and the people who are charged with the day to day running of the football club, and the owners only communication with the fan base is Jim white and ultimately what is put on the pitch then fine my post was certainly not meant as an insult to the blue union or keioc

They're not. They want the manager out and then those people go away again. They said it: they want a couple of individuals replaced and that's it.

There is NO fundamental changes being asked for here. Go and read their 'manifesto'. It's pathetic.
Why oh why are you trying to misrepresent the intentions of this protest, claiming it's about Rafael and not the board?

The several EFC fans (with online followings) that have arranged this protest...

Have made it very clear that it's against the failures of the last 5 years and the money that's been spent.

Yet you're being overly defensive and have changed the narrative to it being nothing but a coup to attack your darling, Rafael?

I think it's very evident you lack any form of leadership.

You just love to feel important in taking the complete opposite stance to everybody else.

Because when you have people willing to stand up to the things you've been annoyingly complaining about for five years.

Instead of supporting and joining forces, you instead criticize and claim their intentions aren't the same as yours and miss an opportunity to have an influence for the greater good.

How many more times are you going to make this point? We get it. You're trying to make the perfect be the enemy of the good. You're attempting to assume a moral superiority again by claiming that the protestors aren't "true protestors" (or "superprotestors" if you will) since they won't fully commit, reminiscent of your view that some fans aren't true fans.

In fact the organizers were brilliant in leaving it open as to what fans should do after they walk out. Some will return after 5 min, some will stay until half, some will likely leave altogether. That flexibility allows for a much bigger participation since most who want to show their displeasure to the board don't have to feel conflicted about not supporting the team, or throwing away hard earned money spent on something they love. A hard command to walk and leave would have resulted in a much smaller group and thus less publicity.

No one in the media will make the cynical observation you do above when the majority of those who walked out return to their seats (in fact it is likely they will make the point fans returned to support "the team" after sending their message to "the board"). Instead the story and headlines will be all about fans making a statement that enough is enough and change is needed.

Stop playing the "you're doing it wrong" superiority card. It's tedious, and we know you feel an innate superiority to the rest of us here, it's already baked in to our assessment of you and your posts. You don't need to keep shouting it.

Because it'll achieve nothing - you think Moshiri cares that you've left your seat for 5 minutes?

He'll care when his stadium is empty / no ticket revenue is coming in.

Going to be absolutely cringe this is if they decide to return to their seats and clap/chant like good little bhoys after their toilet break.

Either go and leave to make a statement to the board or dont bother!
Not at all.

Like some have said, they have to travel for some time and spend a lot of money on match day.

What it shows is that these people are there first and foremost to watch everton.

Any form of protest that catches the attention of the media which forces a different conversation to be had behind closed doors

Is a success.

Stop belittling good intentions.

Does Moshiri/Usmanov care about British based media when one lives in Monaco and the other the Mediterranean?

I remember listening to Neville around the time of the ESL plans and he said the Glazers dont care what the media say because they in the States they dont even probably get wind of any domestic criticism.

If the fans are serious about bringing change around they have to do it properly!

From the same revolutionaries so fed up of the last 27 years they were singing and dancing to spirit of the blues 12 months ago.

Sadly half of these protesters are flakey to say the least and a 5 minute toilet break doesn't change my opinion on that.

He'll care when his stadium is empty / no ticket revenue is coming in.

He`ll care when it`s on all the sports news channels, when it`s being discussed by all the pundits and the sports jounrnos. start shining the spot light on what a shiz show we are from top to bottom.

Absolutely agree with this.
The whole point is about making a highly visible protest that the media see and hopefully embarrasses the board (which I very much doubt)!!!!
Dull, mediocre unimaginative and passionless is the board we have at the moment.I think it puts everything into perspective when we are now supposedly looking at Mourinho as the next manager.
Same thing all over again.
Anything that sparks a change gets my vote!!

And how do they do that?
