My point was that even if you had the best board in world football - if the owner is a bit rogue and chooses to ignore them, then it doesn't matter.

Brands was on the board and he's on record as saying the owner is a bit rogue an makes his own decisions.
Marcel Brands has done it again!!

But if we had a proper Chairman and CEO, they would say "Hold on Mosh lad, if we do that, this will happen, now pee off back to Monaco like a good chap, but oh, before you go, sign this cheque".

We are in 17th mate, so yeah, im sure everybody knows we arent happy.

We boo, Goodison is bear pit, this is all true, but take United for example, they dropped to 8th and caused a riot, didnt do them any good, but they at least tried.

What do we do? Tut loudly and do nothing, then when somebody tries something we sneer at them and talk utter crap about supporting the team.
I suppose it just depends what you see as 'doing' something really. If sending an open letter to the board from America is 'doing' more than taking sack the board banners to the game, booing, taking to social media to call people out, travelling down to Bournemouth and reacting to a defeat in such a way that it's reported in pretty much every sporting news outlet going then fair enough, but I'm not sure it is personally.

Ive already said mate, I have many concerns regarding this 27 campaign, but at the end of the day they are trying something and we shouldnt sneer at them for doing it, not saying you are, but certainly loads are.

I cling on to the ridiculous notion that perhaps he's a bit rogue because absolutely nobody shows any kind of nous in the boardroom. The only time he ever hears from them is when they need some cash transferring into the current account.

People invest in things to get a return at some point, not to just continuously prop up a failing business.

Maybe if the owner felt his investment was in safer hands he'd be less inclined to meddle and leave them to it. It's probably hugely naive on my part but there ya go, nobodies perfect.

(it doesn't explain why he hasn't sacked them if he felt his investment was underperforming)

No I agree with that. I just don't like it when people put the onus on normal people with their own trials and tribulations going on to sort things out at the club. With the best will in the world if I was going to take to the streets to protest again then the running of a football club wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list of reasons, so it grates a bit when people suggest that's what we should all be doing.

And I agree, if you wanna march on Downing Street with me, just say the word.

if they don't matter, shouldn't they be changed?
But there is no point in changing them if the owner just over rules there replacements, which he will since they will be his appointments, anyone who thinks Farhad won't replace the board with Farhads yes men is an kidding themselves.

He's gone out of his way to back the board in public comment on a few occasions.

His handling of Brands says a lot to me. Was here for a bit, then promoted to the board with a full remit/responsible for football operations, given a new contract in April - a few months later, a whiff of fan discontent and gone.

He went a bit rogue because he had the chance to get Ancelotti and James and thought we could shortcut our way to Europe to drive more income and push forward that way. Tbh I don't blame him.

Funny thing is if we had the central defenders we have now that might have succeeded.

Mad really, isn't it?

With the greatest respect, fans have been united behind the team for the most part. Don’t forget the issues such as going into the season having to play the likes of Gordon up front , poor performances and results.

For years, We have stunk, flattered to deceive without any protests or heat on the board. Look at the last two games, some questionable attitudes from players in those games which resulted in some supporters showing frustration and anger at the final whistle.

You can still support the manager and players whilst highlighting what’s gone on above .

We have been more up and down than continually stinking out the place. We'd have a bad half a year and then we would be flying the next. The real downturn only happened from October 2021 until now where we seem to be stuck in a malaise.

We are all irritated by the position we find ourselves, as a match going fan who has to travel 10 odd hours per game I'm particularly aware. But when we have a cob on regarding the board that does transcend to the atmosphere. You can feel it in the stands that people are already wound up, the performances are enough to do that without the added extras! The only way we pull through this is by acting as one despite what we may think of the board, all focus should be on getting a decent finisher in and improving.

In reality had we got a decent result against Leicester and Bournemouth and we are sat inside the top 10 this would be getting a tiny percentage of traction, now it appears to be whipping up rage. Our league position is pants but we are only a few points away from what would be classed as a decent one. Let's do that, finish the season then hand in the open letters.

I get that but it's kinda like giving up.
May as well let Kenwright be chair because he sold to a fella who doesn't listen to the board.
I mean, what did he expect.
You can buy this stake if you keep me as chair.
Ok buddy, sure, no problem, what ever you say.
As far as I am concerned, part of the boards responsibility is to hold the owner to account and if they can't do that, they're not doing their job.

If they have no control over Moshiri why don't they resign?
