But there is no point in changing them if the owner just over rules there replacements, which he will since they will be his appointments, anyone who thinks Farhad won't replace the board with Farhads yes men is an kidding themselves.
Why didn’t he do that straight away then ? Also who put Thelwell in charge? Because it seems that the youth set up is changing, while some signings haven’t been great, due to finance, but we’re spending actual money on a younger age of player.

Also Thelwell got rid of Bill and DBB favourite son in unsworth, he goes nowhere if it’s down to bill and Denise

We have been more up and down than continually stinking out the place. We'd have a bad half a year and then we would be flying the next. The real downturn only happened from October 2021 until now where we seem to be stuck in a malaise.

We are all irritated by the position we find ourselves, as a match going fan who has to travel 10 odd hours per game I'm particularly aware. But when we have a cob on regarding the board that does transcend to the atmosphere. You can feel it in the stands that people are already wound up, the performances are enough to do that without the added extras! The only way we pull through this is by acting as one despite what we may think of the board, all focus should be on getting a decent finisher in and improving.

In reality had we got a decent result against Leicester and Bournemouth and we are sat inside the top 10 this would be getting a tiny percentage of traction, now it appears to be whipping up rage. Our league position is pants but we are only a few points away from what would be classed as a decent one. Let's do that, finish the season then hand in the open letters.

Mate, we have stunk for years. Even the Moyes period had some poor spells. No success for decades. European spells all too brief. Players moved on to achieve things whilst we remain in a circle of the same thing of having our better players leave and us having to start over again.

Managers sacked, every season is labelled “transitional “. It’s a farce. Protesting against a questionable board shouldn’t have a substantial effect on what’s already go on without any protests, we have been poor without them.

And this isn’t a go at you, you know as well I do, to some there will never be a right time to protest , there will always be excuses

“It might have a effect on players signing”
“A transfer window is approaching, give them a chance to get players in”

Repeat time and again.

It’s gone on far too long and I’m the worst of all because I complain constantly and I never turned up to that protest in the summer, when there was no matches and I should of done.

I get that but it's kinda like giving up.
May as well let Kenwright be chair because he sold to a fella who doesn't listen to the board.
I mean, what did he expect.
You can buy this stake if you keep me as chair.
Ok buddy, sure, no problem, what ever you say.
As far as I am concerned, part of the boards responsibility is to hold the owner to account and if they can't do that, they're not doing their job.

If they have no control over Moshiri why don't they resign?
This is a great post. I truly believe he doesn't want to get off the gravy train, Kenwright adores the stage and is there a greater stage than watching the football in every executive box in the land. He adores mixing with the wealthy and there is no way he is releasing his grip without a fight.

They are the second highest paid board in the PL hence why they don't resign.

bingo.
I just can't fathom how people can still support Kenwright.
And even if Kenwright does have the best intentions, which he may well have... Can he not see that him staying on year after year is just further splitting the fanbase
Seen loads on twitter over the last 24hrs, they will tell it’s about this 27 campaign they don’t agree with. I honestly believe some of our fans wouldn’t care what division we played in, what ground we played in, as long as Bill was in the stands, Dunc was manager and Tom Davies was captain.

Been brainwashed by sentimentality and the peoples club

Ignore him mate it's everyone else's fault except Billy boys, a very strange fixation.

And some wouldn't be happy if we were winning the occasional trophy and qualifying for the CL every year because NSNO means NSNO and we weren't playing good enough football and the players weren't running through brick walls and the owner wasn't a communist etc. It's just the nature of football fans (people, even). People always want to make out like there's something peculiar about our fanbase but there isn't. We haven't been brainwashed or anything, most people - rightly or wrongly - just don't believe that what they think or say or do will have any impact on how the club performs, and so just get on with it. There's nothing sinister or odd about it really.

disagree to a certain extent, ok some fans will moan no matter what, but a lot of fans now imo act like they support Sunderland or Norwich the best we can hope for is getting a promotion every few years, with us it’s a cup semi at Wembley or maybe 7th and a few days out across Europe, some fans have accepted that’s what we’re now.

The mentality from the top has filtered down. 7th seen as success,
Bringing a DVD out. Telling the fans we’ve had good times. Maybe we didn’t always win in the 60’s or 70’s but we were seen as a big club that should be challenging every season, that’s gone and one man has played a big part in that.

years ago our owner sacked a manager for finishing 4th, now we put his face up on goodison for finishing 5th

Resigning would be giving up more than any other course of action.

We know that Moshiri has absolute control of the club.
We don't know how much influence Bill Kenwright, DBB and the rest of the board have on Moshiri. It would appear for instance that the appointment of RB was a complete solo run.

If they believe Moshiri is flawed in his decision making then by staying inside the tent they may have some influence in his decision making whereas if they resign and leave then goodness knows who will advise him then.

Is it better to be inside the tent peeing out rather than outside the tent peeing in ?

I have no idea who the decision makers are at the club, I do know we are at a perilous position where any more missteps could ruin the club.
I think Bill Kenwright is shrewd, I think a lot of the decisions in recent years he would not have agreed with. I am saying this on the way the club was run before Moshiri took control..... but that is just my opinion.
