6 + 2 Point Deductions

looks like the club did some stupid financing crap but for me the argument is about the punishment for this.
It all seems like a fine and suspended points deduction would have been appropriate and no one would have batted an eye.
Agreed. It’s like getting 4-6 years for running a red light. The punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

The club have admitted they were not in compliance, that’s no longer a question. The punishment needs to be appealed however.

I can see that super league thing being started up again in the near future, if City etc are gonna get done.
Get Everton out of the Prem and they might have a clear run at it. Possibly with Newcastle.

And it's infrastructure related. Doesn't matter if it's £20 or £200mill...surely it's not relevant enough to what happens on the field ie player sales.

They're basically picking holes in poor accountancy in relation to building a new stadium than why the hell did we spend £45mill on Siggurdson.

I'd take getting 10 points based on how shocking our transfer business has been...not cos Mosh decided to play silly buggers to get a stadium built

You think we'd have the 14 points without DCL being on the pitch and in form?

Take him to of the equation or Tarkowski for that matter and that tally is about 6/7 points.

We are one injury away from a meltdown.
That doesn’t address my comment at all.

Which was that I’d love to see your workings for coming to the concluding we need 48-50 points.

What’s your thinking there?

The issue for me (aside from the clearly biased imposition of a 10 points deduction) isn’t that we will be relegated…..I think it may be uncomfortable at times this season, but I think we survive.

The issue for me is what this judgment has done to the belief system of the other clubs who believe they can attempt to claw back some lost revenue through scurrilous and opportunistic litigation because this decision gives them license to do so. Whilst I don’t believe for one moment they will all be successful one or two may be (unless they present it as a ‘class action’).

They're audited accounts mate. If they don't hold weight, they're fraudulent.

Again, it's about allowing the losses or not. Nothing to do with 'proving' them but up to the league to deem what passes and what doesn't.
If they charged interest to the subsidiary that would pass an audit. It wouldn’t pass scrutiny for a regulatory body, it’s adjust a paper transaction.

Still have no idea how it has been given as -10 if it has to do with money not the sporting side why not a fine or a transfer ban. Have accepted with even the appeal will be looking at a 6-9 points taken off

Why would other clubs who have abided by P&S back our appeal?

It would be like clean athletes backing an appeal of an athlete who had admitted taking PED's.

The likelihood is that instead of backing us other clubs may well be looking at suing us for damages.
I don't believe ive just agreed with you there gwlads FFS but no, the vultures in other clubs will be looking at getting at us, the irony being that the FFP/P&S rules that are in place to stop clubs going bust will bankrupt us as we could be paying many millions in torts, that is if the 10 points doesnt get us.
