6 + 2 Point Deductions

Played both City and Spurs twice in our last 10 games which is completely bizarre and nobody else has had to suffer such a run of fixtures. On top of that we’ve also played Villa at home, and Wolves away who are excellent at home. We’ve got that stupid fixture quirk out of the way now so I’d expect us to start picking up a few wins.
But on the other side, they're both done and out of the way now.

You have to play everyone twice, it's just bad luck it's worked out like this

What an NDA with 7 parties involved? Very unlikely

Is it though? It would be an NDA involving Premier League clubs and the the Premier League, two parties - the league and it's associate members.

The independent review would presumably be happy with resolution between the clubs and league.

- PSR rule changes are pushed through with a caveat that the Premier League will privately settle with clubs who have breached up until this point. The rule changes being ushered through gives the PL leverage to force this issue with the member clubs, it's too coincidental timing wise.

- Everton and Forest settle privately with the PL, with associated NDA in place.

- City settle privately for the breaches pertaining to PSR with the PL, with associated NDA in place.

- More serious breaches (or allegations) against City and Chelsea are dealt with outside of PSR and scheduled to be heard further down the line.

- The incentive for the rest of the clubs to sign is the ability to operate again within the new rules without fear of a 10 point deduction.

Ill get my tinfoil hat out soon, but i genuinely dont think the above (or similar) is beyond the realms of impossibility. It's damage limitation for the PL at this point, and the only way they self preserve.

If they are all as corrupt as we think they are it'll all be kept under wraps, especially if we win.

We're too far down the line for anything like that. The relegated clubs would have something to say about it. They might be able to manipulate their way out of this, but it won't be via an NDA.

Any new rules will take years before they become effective if salary based too. Clubs have players on 3, 4, 8 year contracts. If they introduce anything based on spending on player salaries, no way could it suddenly be enforced the very next season. Clubs can’t just terminate contracts, or slash salaries, and won’t be forced to sell players quick and dirty at low fees just to comply immediately. There will be a period of transition where it will be the Wild West. That will make it even more unacceptable to double punish us this season, a matter of weeks before a period where clubs are are given a period of amnesty to come into line with the new rules.

With Man City threatening legal action it will look serious bent if we don’t get anything back.

It will definitely look like a two track system to this PSR rule and biased based on what’s come out.

Richard Masters needs to resign and a whole rethink needs to take place as the ramifications are that the premier league will behind other leagues with this draconian rule.

Talk about shooting itself in the foot or what

We'll get nothing back. Best start to accept it now. The Prem is nothing without City. Without us it'll barely notice. Harsh as that sounds, its the way things are in this era!
