The thing is PSR isn't fit for purpose, it probably never has been. It had been implemented in 2013. They didn't have specific policy on punishment. The loss "allowance" has never been inflation linked (players wages for example). It is meant to (loosely speaking) safeguard clubs against unscrupulous owners in reality it acts as indirect stick to beat away challengers to the now "established" "big 6". Yet even PSR is being replaced now. To align with Europe. This doesn't mean
it's any better for the majority it still works better for clubs that have more turnover, therefore benefits the bigger clubs. Aside from that it's clear that the PL
have set out to make an example of Everton. This is what will work against them. The more you look in to it the more you see the holes and their irregular
practices.
