Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed news on a potential new Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) hearing should come before the new year.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted he feels the Toffees can resolve the situation without being hit with a new points deduction.

It’s the same every year, if you’re going to be charged you know by the new year. ;)

The year is 2034, Everton have been hit with 10 consecutive point deductions totalling 300 points. However, the club have still managed to retain their PL status against all odds.

The club haven’t signed a player in 4 years, sold the entire team some time ago and have academy prospects across the board. Their net spend has been positive for years and they always turn a profit due to good sales and advertising. Many fans are also overpaying for tickets, and making donations to ease the plight.

Manchester City have just moved into their new training complex built on the former country of Belgium which they bought out several years ago. They finally have room for their substitutes and youth academy in the gargantuan complex and have just leveraged their buyout of Tesla on the purchase of 23 new players, costing more than the GDP of half the world.

The Premier League find financial irregularities whilst looking into the transfer for Simon Davies 30 years prior and dock Everton points.

And David Coote has just added King of the jungle to his Strictly, Bake Off and Celebrity Big Brother House wins...again infuriating the rs by thanking Klopp for his coincidentally help...

And then you appeal the decision, get a hearing in February, and have to wait till end of March or early April for the final result. Were they not supposed to have this sorted so that we new where we stood before the end of season relegation battle was underway so a team that looked like they were in a safe spot suddenly had a team below them have a points deduction halved and now end up in dire trouble.

Dont remember that mate, thought the agreement was that it had to be finalised before the end of the season.

Be interesting to see what happens, hopefully we are on the right side of it - id keep a close eye on Leicester.
