6 + 2 Point Deductions

Liverpool and their media brigade have engineered this as part of their ultimate plan: to become the only team in Liverpool. This strengthens their financial clout. There is more to this than financial irregularity. The rs have blood on their hands. Again.
This is a stretch but I'm gonna go with it

If it stays as is, which we have to assume for now, then I'd say 10 wins from 26 keeps us up - throw in a few draws to be safe.

It's doable, but they have to start in the next few weeks. Get back those 10 points before Christmas.

Come on Dave... are you really questioning how we are going to be 9-12 points better off.. apart from being better defensively.. better in midfield.. and better up front along with being more organised all over... 9-12 points is 3 or 4 wins, from now 1 win has the potential to see us out of the bottom 3...
With a fully fit team and bt paper thin squad. And these teams around us now will have a right 'kin go and one at least will start picking up the points and the pressure will be on our players who are not great under pressure...as we know.

Its great that people believe we have this hand. I wish I was one of them. But I see this for what it is: the door has been fully opened to relegation, which is what those corrupt gets in the PL wanted.

As for the case itself, the PL were out to get us - anyone who expected different was being naive.

The 10-point deduction is in no way relative to the crime, but that's on the club to fight. The fans now just have to fully back the team and as one we can get out of this.

But essentially this has shoved us right back into being right in a scrap until the very end.

I'm not gonna slate Dave here, I think he's right.

We're right back in this, we can be bullish but unless we pick up 10 points from the next 12 then we're right in a scrap for the rest of the season.

The club are appealing the sanction not the charge, getting 10 points taken off for £10-20m when Portsmouth got a point less for going into admin 12 years ago and both City and Chelsea have openly flaunted the rules
If you read the report it isn't that simple. The club has been found guilty of breaching P&S, of breaching accounting rules, failing to act in utmost good faith to fellow clubs and misleading the Premier League regarding Stadium funding.

A comparison was made to EFL rules where breaches of accounting rules lead to a 12-point penalty that is reduced by mitigating factors.

Yu haven't told me how a team that got 36 and 39 points for the last two seasons gets 48 this season...
We have an attack, and depth up there. Last season we scored 34 goals. The season before we conceded 66. That's why we placed as poorly as we did. We're on pace for scoring in the 40s and conceding in the low 50s, which generally puts a team in the mid to high forties for points when all is said and done.

With as bad as the bottom of the table is, that should be enough. Reinforcing the back, if at all possible, would be wise in January. It's the one area of the pitch where a lone injury can derail us.

Sean Dyche has got us 35 points from 30 games so far. We have 26 games left to get 34 minimum to hand us a chance.

That's why we're in the bin.
We're on the improve, we have fit strikers, we have a siege mentality now, we're not down Dave, we're in a dog fight and we have the personnel for it. We'll fight, and we will win.

We're in deep trouble, but I think we've still got a very good chance of staying up. I don't think (what was) the bottom 4 will all be as bad as they have been, but I also don't think several of them will massively improve their levels.

I think it'll come down to injuries. Avoid significant ones and we'll stay up. Get hammered with them and it's not looking good.
