6 + 2 Point Deductions

But the point with Forest was that it has had no impact on them. We couldnt have cost them a place as they finished above us any way
I doubt Forest will be involved in anything. I suspect they may have registered interest while their relegation fate was uncertain last season so maybe their name is on a sheet of paper somewhere but it's not in their interests to be involved now.

Wonder why they don't want to rush through the Man City case? I mean that has been going on for over a decade

The City case is a funny one, the German paper who got the leaked emails released them in 2018.

Now City have prolonged legal battles over how these emails were obtained ( hacked they were )

It's a massive case and City's legal team will prolong it for a few years by the looks of it.

By the sounds of that report they did flag it up. They warned us we were close the the limit and to maybe consider not signing any players but Everton just went hog wild instead because we needed a new midfield(?) at the time. All on Moshiri this unfortunately, the fat dope.

Well you've got some on here saying it's not the PL's business to advise us and then others saying they did (regardless if we'd follow it or not).

Point I was making, and what the clubs wanting to sue are saying is...why didn't they do something about it sooner if they knew and were working with the club

Only ourselves to blame.

Getting angry at the world isn't helpful.
That's nonsense for a number of reasons.

The club would have been onside of that £19M if the PL hadn't moved the goalposts on infrastructure spending or we'd had the USM cash to bring in...or we were able to sell Richardson for £80M....or the Siggurdson write off was accepted.

There is plenty to condemn the governance of this club over but don't do the PL's dirty work for them in attacking us and accepting they're corrupt charges and their panels decision on punishment.

By reading the reports they gave us plenty of warnings and when dealing with them they kept saying we needed to comply with the rules.

We are 100% in the wrong.

Only thing we can do is appeal the punishment to get it reduced but also face the risk of them pumping it upto 12 points.

Aside from the banter (I’ve had a few texts from Liverpool fans) I think there is a lot of empathy for Everton right now. The general feeling is that we’ve been made an example of and the punishment is too harsh.
It's a tricky one. I think we all knew we were spending money we didn't have and therefore might fall foul of FFP/P&S rules, but we also knew that this usually resulted in a fine or a suspended points deduction. However I can see why Burnley and Leeds would feel aggrieved as they could see our £378 million loss over 3 years. The fact is the club is already punishing itself because of former profligate spending so this feels worse than if we'd carried on spending and finishing in the top 10.

Is anyone like me at the moment: when I've been out and I see a few people standing round and I hear laughter from them I want to pick up a half brick and throw it at them assuming them to be Kopites?

Or is it just me?
Totally the opposite.
I've got a fairly large circle of football people from a good number of clubs and by & large they see the injustice and are totally shocked. That includes RS btw.

Im not attacking us.

We made a mistake, we got caught, im just saying, no need to be angry at the world.

If you smile, the whole world smiles with you.

10 points for a few minor miscalculations is quite excessive tho really.

We've effectively been punished twice. Once in cooperation with the league for the past few years to get on the right side of the PLS Regulations while chancing relegation repeatedly in back to back seasons. Now we have a 10-point deduction for what we were trying to be in compliance of.

Meanwhile we have precedent for fines for similar rule breaking.

The league is a joke. And only want us relegated. The threat of litigation from other clubs is a dog pile of for click baiting journos.

It's pretty clear to me the PL has outgrown its Adidas and is developing blisters like a mofo.
