The Commission sat for 5 days. I don't see why it would take much more than that to get a decision from another one on the issue of the appropriateness of the penalty imposed.

The commission sat for 5 days but it took so long because there were 40,000 docs submitted and then that was whittled down to 28k.

I guess it will depend if Everton are trying to appeal any of the mitigations or just the punishment itself.

But there is huge pressure on the process to be done quickly either way. Whatever happens it has to be by May.

They don’t have to have been dishonest to have mislead the investigation. Incompetence is of course possible, but is generally not a defence in law.

Most media and football pundits agree that the ridiculously massive punishment is far too hefty for the minor rule break.. no way this isn't at least cut in half upon appeal. We should be making copies and downloads of all media and pundits saying this and show it to the next board.

If you read the report, they say that the reason for the sanction Is that the club (under Moshiri of course) mislead the investigation.
So, how successful that line of appeal will be is doubtful.
Personally I think Moshiri should face a huge financial penalty, I think the investigation is fair enough and he’s the one to blame.

As the Everton employee s responsible were not there they just took the Premier leagues version as true.
Let's face it it was about as independent as a Russian court with an anti putin rebel up in front of them.

That isn't true. The Premier League was the party that did not allege that the club had been dishonest. That is pretty standard. Alleging dishonesty puts the emphasis on the complainant to prove their allegation.

It is the same in racism cases. The Premier League will accuse a player of making a racist remark but will then state they are not accusing the player of being a racist. One needs a far higher burden of proof than the other legally.

UAE /Saudi = good

However the precedent has now been set and there is scrutiny on what happens to City and Chelsea.

I would be very worried if I was either of those clubs because if one charge = 10 points, what does 115 equal?!
