To date Leicester have been charged with not submitting their 22/23 ( when they were members of the PL) by 30/3/24. Leicesters argue that the PL can’t charge them yet in both the PL and EFL the suggestion is that is exactly what they can do.
Leicester have put their case to the EFL body which is akin to an arbitration panel because at one point the EFL hierarchy suggested that the PL would deal with 22/23 and any points penalty awarded by the PL would be honoured by the EFL. That panel determined that in accordance with the current rules that couldn’t happen.
The irony here is that Leicester had already been successful in front of the same panel arguing that the EFL had no right to require them, Leicester, to submit in year documents
So in effect Leicester fell between the cracks in 23/24. The likelihood is that both the EFL& PL will align their rules which in effect will allow points deductions awarded by one league to be implemented by the other.
So as we stand Leicester have a transfer embargo in place via the EFL which will almost certainly be removed on 6/6 when Leicester become a PL member.
Leicester will probably get a 22/23 PSR charge for exceeding the PL limits soon after 6/6. Possibly if the EFL decide then almost certainly a 23/24 charge will follow idc.
Leicester have obstructed at every opportunity so almost certainly won’t be getting any mitigation
